Halloween: Is the Veil Between the Worlds Really Thinner?
As a psychic medium, I initiate the process to connect with those in Spirit - a lot.
I say a prayer, I set an intention, I prepare the space and then I call in the Spirit World.
But by the time Halloween hits, I'm not the only one in my neighborhood setting the placemats to welcome in the Spirit World, virtually everyone else is doing the same thing.
During the Halloween season, humans collectively set the intention to call forward the Spirit World. People all over the world are in want for a connection to Spirit.
When we send this energy out there, our collective energy of intention acts as a strong magnet, and it calls forward that which we wish to attract. The more people added to the magnet, the stronger the pull on whatever it is we are trying to draw in.
When we tug on one side of the rope, those on the other side of the rope are pulled closer, and closer, and closer . . . until they are on the other side of the yellow line, right in our faces.
So yes, you actually can draw in those in the Spirit World when we hope for them to be present.
During this time of year in particular, there are over 13 holidays and cultural festivals celebrating, thousands of people intending and wanting the same thing - interaction and understanding of the unknown . . . the Spirit World.
This means that the veil, or the natural layer of separation between the physical world and the spiritual world is indeed to us closer during the time leading up to Halloween or any other collection of Spirit related festivities.
Though there are other times and periods when the veil can be thin, for Halloween in particular, we as practictioners have to be careful.
In the United States, by the mild practictioners virtually no discrimination is given as to what type of Spirit from the Spirit world it is we are calling forward.
If you are playing up the spook factor in your celebrations, it’s possible that these are the very Spirits you are inviting in. Alternatively, if you are playing up the invitation for playful, light-hearted Spirits, it is more likely these are the Spirits who are being welcome in.
For other Spirit related Holidays worldwide, there are precautions taken that assure that only the most positive and loving Spirits are those that come forward during this thin veil time.
So, here's how to make the most out of Halloween:
Learn what you can do to emphasize calling in loving Spirits
Find out if there is anything you can do to repel other types of Spirits
If you don't like crowds, don't go to the mall.
Even if you practice, you can choose to stay home from spiritual activities if things get too intense out there. And they might, depending on where you live.
This is temporary period generally lasts from October 14th to November 4th each year.
