A theme that regularly comes up spiritually is managing all the expectations of the modern world and how to find peace in a world that keeps going.

Being available to respond right away to every text message.

Saying yes to every request for support.

Making sure your partner and/or family get the attention they deserve.

Opening all the emails.

Maintaining all the social media profiles.

Focusing on making an income.

Getting 3 nutritious meals.

Making sure your house is clean and presentable.

Looking and sorting every notification.

Not being irritable at any time while meeting all these needs, and being kind and peaceful while you get it all done.

It’s no surprise that at the end of the day many people are mentally, emotionally and spiritually tired.

What’s for dinner? Who knows! You haven’t had time to think about that yet.

There are a lot of demands and expectations on all of us every day, but there are only so many hours a day and some of those hours need to be allocated to taking care of your basic core needs and having fun.

Because the Spirit World is aware of what is happening on Earth and all the facets of your life, they often want to provide solutions to the common question -

How do I get it all done while still being a pleasant person to deal with?

Below you’ll find some spiritual tips that can help you manage a busy day while still feeling good:

Feeling overwhelmed and tired?

5 Spiritual Tips That Can Help

1 - Put it on the list

If there is a new demand for your attention, and it just came in today, and it is not life or death, put it on your list.

If you don’t have one already, create a list of all tasks that need to be done.

It’s best if this list is written down somewhere so you can get it out of your immediate energy field.

As you complete these tasks, cross them off the list.

As new tasks come in, compare them with old tasks and see if there is some overlap. If there is, do both those tasks at the same time.

The list is infinite. You will never get it all crossed over, even when you transition to Spirit - things will be on the list.

But the good news is as things are crossed off, more things are added, the list keeps moving and over time, completing tasks on it will help you align to manifesting your goals.

Not everything on the list needs to be crossed off today - maybe only 1-2 things.

2 - Focus on doing the most essential tasks first

When you are at your limit of things that need to get done - prioritize essential things only.

Notice what actions take care of your wellbeing and do those things first - eating, drinking and supporting your body.

Notice what pays your bills - do those things next.

Notice what nurtures your most important relationships, then do those things.

Notice what moves you toward your life dreams and overall happiness, then do that.

Ask yourself, what are my priorities?

Being well, being provided for, being cared for and being happy are the top four things for most people. Anything else that isn’t in this priority group can generally be tabled for another time.

What is one essential thing that needs to be done next?

Align it with your priorities and know it doesn’t need to reach completion today, just the next phase in the process.

3 - Let right now be enough

Inhale and exhale.

Where you are now is fine.

Take a moment to notice some good things about right now. Identify anything in your space you’re happy to have - even if it’s just yourself!

Internally note, “I’m happy for…” and look around your space.

Fill in the blank with everything that catches your eye. Keep going for as long as you need to identify what you’re happy for.

You may not be at your final destination, but taking a moment to appreciate some things about the journey there can help you come into the present moment and out of stressing over everything yet to be done.

4 - Not everything needs a response

There will be many things that come into your energy field as optional offerings - these opportunities do not necessarily need your response.

Think of the things that enter your awareness like food trays on a buffet line.

You can choose not to eat a lot of what’s there and still feel full with plenty of what you do like.

It’s perfectly okay to simply delete the notification, email or comment and keep moving a lot of the time.

5 - Shut down your day with a ritual

Just as a business has closing hours, your energy field, personal space and home can too. You can decide that at a certain time of day - you are entering rest mode.

I have a ritual at the end of my day where I turn on “night mode,” in the house. I close all the blinds, dim the lights, light my favorite candles and make a cup of tea. I shut down my computer too.

It signals to myself and others that the day is over.

Consider a similar end of day ritual where you wind down.

Having a day-ending process can spiritually act as a signal to your mind, body and spirit that the time of doing things has come to a close and it will be picked up tomorrow.

Okay, so now that you know you can put some things on the back burner, prioritize the most essential tasks and tune into the good in the moment to slow down and get back into your day without rushing …

Do you end your day with a nighttime process? If so, what does that look like?
