By Amanda Linette Meder, Psychic Medium
Yesterday morning I was driving my partner to the airport, then heading to the office for my first private reading of the day. Then, I got a flat tire. In the middle of downtown Philadelphia, PA, in the pouring rain, in rush hour.
All I could think at time was:
What a nightmare! What’s the deal Spirit Guides, you couldn’t have warned me?!
They had. Only one day prior, one of my Guides, showed me that something was wrong with the front left corner of the car. In a meditative state, I saw him pointing to the front corner, trying to point something out, something to fix on the car. I thought it was a turn signal light he was referring to, so I went outside to check.
I went through the process of turning on and off all the lights, hitting the brakes and checking the fuses - I didn’t see anything wrong, didn’t question it further, and just went back inside the house.
As it turns out, he meant to show the tire was low, and here I was, testing the lights.
Have you ever felt like the signs your Guides are sending you are elusive, if not vague?
Me too, even as a professional medium. Interpreting messages for yourself is hard because the ego gets involved. You want things, you hope for things, and these personal wants and hopes can easily become tangled in an otherwise crystal clear message from Spirit.
They’re sending you signs, messages, and signals, yes, but how do you make better use of these messages?
How do you interpret the messages from your Spirit Guides?
1. Ask yourself if it makes sense
Most of the time, your Spirit Guides are simply trying to funnel you in the ‘right’ direction. In the path of least resistance. In the flow and current that matches your soul and your vibration. In the place of alignment. Thus, they want to let you know two things:
A. When you are moving into or are in alignment
B. When you are moving off or out of alignment
If you find yourself in synchronistic coincidences, seeing repeating numbers, having ‘strange’ experiences, it’s likely that this is what is going on here. Ask yourself, what would my Spirit Guides be trying to tell me here? If I am ‘off’ in an area of my life? If I am moving into alignment, does it feel like that to me?
Imagine you hate your job, and you want to quit, but you have an apartment lease and a car payment, and your bosses have promised that if you stay, you could be a CEO one day. Despite this, the environment in your office is just getting worse, and has become unbearable for you to even want to be there. You dread going in. SUDDENLY, someone comes into your life and asks you what your dreams are, then encourages you to follow them. Then, another person, offers for you to move into their apartment, for cheaper, and you can sublet your place for little to no work! Then, you find yourself on an airplane, taking a trip for work, taking a nap. When you awake, in the back pocket of the seat in front of you is a magazine, and the feature article is about entrepreneurs, who quit their jobs, and started their own business.
You’ve always wanted to start your own business.
There it is. If you ever had Spirit Guides trying to send you a message, this would be an example of a case where they are lighting your path - to move you back into alignment.
2. Agree on key symbols and clues
Are you sick of wondering if every feather, red tulip, sequenced number pattern or creek in your house is a sign from Spirit? Is it? Or isn’t it? If so, which Spirits are doing what? . . . .and when?
It can be like interpreting a captcha on your banking login page. . .wait, is it a ‘f’, or could it be an ‘n’?
It doesn’t have to be this way, and you can settle on a sign with your Spirit Guides. A symbol, animal, flower, number sequence, or song, that your hear - and bam! You know it’s time to tune in for Divine Guidance.
For example, if things are leading down a positive path for you, ask your guide to show you increasing or repeating numerical sequences, to validate this. If things are going against the current, and you are feeling something may be ‘off’ in your gut, ask your guides to show you decreasing number sequences.
Select an animal or flower type to be shown, mentioned about or referenced to, that can be you and your guide’s secret password.
Love red-winged blackbirds?
How about seeing one in any form, as a sign. Whether this bird is read about, talked about, visually seen in person or in picture - this is your code word - it’s time to tune in. Hawks, cardinals, blue birds, and birds that are noticeable to you are good signs - they stand out. Think of something that stands out to you, when you see it, you always notice. This is your code word.
3. Ask to be shown the meaning in another way
Remember when my Spirit Guide, showed me that something was wrong with my left front end of my car, and I thought it was the light. At that moment, I could’ve asked him, to show what he meant, in another way. This is exactly what it sounds like.
If you feel like your Spirit Guide is sending you a sign, or trying to get a message to you, ask them to show you again. In a way that is easier for you to understand - and they will.
4. Ask someone else
The best way to get an objective opinion to to ask an objective source - someone outside of yourself, who loves and supports you, understands your belief system, and is willing to help you look at something critically. This person could be a friend, family member, partner, or professional (like myself). No matter who this person is - the requirement is that your objective viewfinder is someone who respect your beliefs and cares about your life. Avoiding ask someone you went on a first date with, or someone questions your belief system already. Ask someone who knows YOU in your soul, or can access higher guidance.
Lay out for this person what you think are signs and symbols and markers, and ask what they think about it. Provide as little or as much details as you feel would be helpful, and see what they say. Ask, if there was a message from Spirit, in all of this madness, what would it be?
With love,
Amanda
