Grief & Sensing Spirit - Is it easier to sense The Spirit World after someone you love passes?

After someone you love leaves their physical body, it is natural to sense them at times and even begin to receive messages from what feels like a connection to the divine.

When darkness happens, it generally initiates a gateway to another place, usually a place with more light.

And people do tend to open up to The Spirit World once they have someone in Spirit over there.

Because we know and trust our own people and pets, it is true that it is easier to perceive your own deceased loved ones than the loved ones of other people.

Sensing your loved one after they pass is easy.

You already know what they sound like, what their soul feels like, and the types of things they would do if they would visit you. This is because you were familiar with their personality before they became invisible.

When someone in your soul group dies early, someone in your family may begin to be able to sense them. This means they may exhibit mediumship qualities and it's quite normal for this to happen.

Fathers, grandmothers, friends, pets and many more people have passed, only to, within a month after their crossing, begin ‘haunting’ or ‘visiting’ someone they knew closely while alive.

Many of these visits go unnoticed for years because:

• It gets mistaken for grief

• Natural experiences get catalogued as unnatural experiences

• Increasing synchronicities get written off as unusual

Until one day, considering that things might be going on beyond what is an everyday happening, your opinion changes of what could be true.

People who die, often live out the rest of their soul relationship with you as a person in Spirit. They finish out their life as a Spirit, and in some cases, this incentivizes you to learn how to communicate with Spirits.

When you know someone who has died, this is often an incentive for you to start thinking about The Spirit World on a more profound level. Thus, you begin reaching for it and it reaches for you, and the connection begins.

Many mediums don’t open up their abilities before the crossing of someone they love, typically because there is not much incentive to.

If you have a great life and everyone you love is alive, what purpose is there to suddenly garner interest or care in what’s happening in The Spirit World? 

There may not be one.

So most of us go about our lives, doing errands and chores. Myself included before all this began.

With this continual distraction going on, and this constant attention focused so much on the physical, there is really no way, you are going to suddenly snap, put the pieces together and realize all the stuff that’s been happening to you now makes sense unless something powerful happens, a moment, a change.

If you are experiencing visitations, voices, dreams, sounds or raps on the walls, maybe it’s more than "just grief," especially if it keeps happening to you and only you.

Usually after someone passes, a Spirit will try to find the most sensitive person to connect to, sometimes to get messages to other people, other times, to awaken your gifts.

With death, darkness comes and then it is easier to see the sources of light, including those coming from The Spirit World.

If someone you love has passed and you have noticed:

• An increase in dream visitations

• Pictures falling off or tilting on the walls

• The feeling you have someone is standing in your room

• Seeing the face of your loved one in other people on the street

• Hearing knocks or coughs in the middle of the night

Gifts to sense The Spirit World may be opening to you in a rare portal that happens when a loved one transitions.

When we experience an intense emotional experience, we open our senses to be in touch with the subtle world.

This is sometimes what happens when we get so close to the world between the worlds.

We begin to sense it, and once that happens, you can never not sense it.

Thankfully, now that you have someone you trust on The Other Side, this is the perfect opportunity to work with them together to open your gifts safely.

Many mediums have a single Spirit that acts as their first escort or contact with The Spirit World - this is called their Messenger Guide or Mediumship Helper.

I call them your bridge and it is usually someone you love that has passed.

From there, you can meet your Spirit Guides, guardian Angels and even connect with Spirits for others, if that’s what you so choose or what has chosen you.
