How To Safely Use A Pendulum

A pendulum is any weighted object that is attached to a long string or a cord. This combination of the weighted object and the cord - is the pendulum.
A pendulum is designed to freely move back and forth and side to side with any small shift in the surrounding energy.
While you can literally tie any object to any cord, such as a penny and a shoestring, in most cases, it’s a metal cord with a crystal or wood weight.
The reason is that depending on what materials you choose, the metal mixed with crystal or wood can increase the energy conductance, meaning it’ll be easier for the pendulum to respond to the energy.
Pendulums can be used as a physical tool to connect with those in Spirit and they are best for binary questions.
If you have open ended questions, like why am I here? What is my purpose? How should I move forward? Consider using oracle cards instead as your physical tool.
Pendulums are best for questions like:
Is it this or that?
Confirming yes or no
For example, if you’re communicating with a Spirit, you could ask,
“Are you a Spirit Guide or Angel? Swing left for Spirit Guide or right for Angel.”
“Is this in my highest and greatest good? Show me yes or no.”
“Are you my grandmother Mary Ann? Show me yes or no.”
“Swing to the left if Option 1 is the best solution and to the right for Option 2 is better.”
These types of binary inquiries work best.
But asking “What messages do you have for me about this specific issue?” is better for an oracle card reading.
You can ask those in Spirit around you to communicate the answer to you by swinging the pendulum back and forth for one of the answers and then side to side for another one of the answers.
When a pendulum is asked to answer a question:
A swing from front to back = yes
A swing from side to side = no
Swinging in a circle = unclear/clearer direction needed
The pendulum you choose is entirely based on personal preference and I suggest using either a pendulum you already have or one the spiritually calls to you.
You can choose pendulums online, just pay attention to which ones you gravitate towards most.
As with all psychic tools, it’s thought that every time a tool is created, it has a specific owner it’s intended for.
Using this wisdom, there is a pendulum out there that has been created for you and it’s simply waiting for you to find it.
You can align to your tool by using your intuition to guide you on what speaks to you most.
To use your pendulum to connect with Spirit:
Choose a pendulum that resonates with you.
Hold the pendulum with your thumb and forefinger of your dominant hand.
Take a deep breath and focus.
Call in your Spirit team with a prayer or invocation.
Ask that the pendulum swing in the direction that means YES and then the pendulum to swing in the direction which means NO in response to your question.
Ask for the pendulum to return to a still, stationary resting place.
Ask your question.
Whichever way the pendulum swings, this is your answer.
Usually you are looking for a direct, strong swing for YES or NO.
If you get a circular or weak swing, re-phrase your question and ask again.
When you keep getting a weak swing, it can mean:
Try another day because the answer is unclear today
Another pendulum or communication tool may work better
The pendulum’s energy needs to be cleared
Your pendulum may get a better response if you clear the energy in the room you’re using it first or during a specific period where the veil of communication is easier to access.
All in all, you can use a pendulum as a tool to communicate with the Spirit World, but it does have limitations in that it works best with binary questions.
For best results clear your energy and call in your Higher Self, clear the energy in the room and the energy of the pendulum before you begin.
When complete, thank the energies present for connecting and put your tool away in a safe, sacred space.
