How To Become A Psychic Medium

Most people find out they have mediumship abilities by unfolding surprise, sometimes though, the discovery can happen suddenly.

I never knew it had a name anything other than what I called it as a child, which was a dream you have when you are awake.

It was until later in my own life when a perfect mix of scenarios all arrived at once that my memories of Spirit Encounters from childhood came flooding in and rushing back.

I took the time to act, and I went through the emotions out about the possibility of being a medium for a couple of months as I recounted all of my life experiences.

Meanwhile, I continued to have spiritual experiences.

The less I stressed, the less intense the experiences became.

Since I started this blog, the only thing that's changed about me is the label.

Because of the label, I needed time to come to terms with it.

And a label is all it is.

Becoming a psychic medium means you open your sensitivities to Spirit

It means you can pick up on the energy of a Spirit in the room. It means you might have helpful voices in your head occasionally.

It means you might see Spirits with your eyes closed when you try to go to sleep.

It means you might hear noises in your kitchen when you are home alone.

Thankfully, it also means you can take your experiences and turn them into desirable traits and abilities to offer to others.

Becoming a professional psychic medium is practicing and honing those sensitivities to help others

This is a process that continues every day for each medium.

While some people see and hear Spirit since childhood, mediumship, and medium abilities can make themselves known to you at any time.

And, the most suitable time for your skills to become noticeable to you is when you are most open to your abilities and gifts.

The most common ways medium abilities begin to show themselves

  • After a close friend or family member has made the transition called death when the transition portal opens

  • If you've been spending time with other sensitives, Spirit will sometimes open gifts if a support system is available

  • When you are exploring yourself spirituality and expressing interest in the intuitive realms

  • When you are spending a lot of time alone, after the birth of a child or during intense times of meditation

  • During natural periods of life reflection and introspection in your life, during a before and after moment

Feel like you have mediumship abilities?

Below we’re going to go over a few steps to open psychic mediumship gifts.

Step 1. Understand it

Read as much as you can about mediumship and intuition.

There are plenty of resources on this blog, and I've also created thisreading list.

The more you know about mediumship, the less intimidating it will seem, and the more attainable becoming a medium will feel to you.

It will also help to have an educated knowledge base when explaining your abilities to family and friends.

Start with this article: 21 Signs you may be a medium.

Step 2. Practice

Meet with someone for one-on-one help, and this person should be another sensitive who can relate to you and help you understand your abilities.

Take some classes.

Meet your gatekeeper guide.

While psychic development is essential for mediumship development, eventually, you'll want to meet up with other mediums.

There are many different kinds of mediums.

There are mediumship practice opportunities on this website in the Monthly Workshop.

3. Be gentle on yourself

Everyone develops at different rates, and there are many different ways that mediumship can manifest.

Begin with understanding pacing in the Five Steps to Opening Your Abilities.

There are also four main ways to manifest mediumship, and from there, your abilities can be of service to others in a vast array of forms.

Professionally, there are so many options.

You can write books, teach, work with paranormal groups, perform readings, clear houses, heal others, channel peaceful energy to benefit yourself and others.

You can always choose to quit mediumship at any time. Still, for many, once the doorway to the Light is opened, it never, ever closes.

It becomes part of the very thread of who you are at the core of your being and beliefs and continues to shape what you know to be true.

As a medium, Spirits and the world of Spirit will be a regular part of your life,

Spirit will support you, but one piece of caution: don't become a medium for the money, even if you experience evidence of success right away.

Though you can make an honest living from it, there may be times when your soul drive will have to go beyond money if you choose to continue, because usually when you work for yourself, as most mediums do, the money comes after.

For myself, being a medium was and is life choice.

Looking back, I would make the same decision if offered the opportunity again today.

As a medium, you will change people's lives, usually starting with your own.
