Reader Q & A:
Spirits are calling My name. What does it mean?
Reader Jacqueline W. asks:
I have a question about Spirit manifestation. When I was younger, I was constantly having my name called by Spirits. My question was always: why have they used familiar voices (instead of their own)?
Also, one time one appeared to me, as my little sister asking where our mother had gone. I went to answer her only to realize that she had gone with my mom to run errands.
Thank you for your question.
This voice thing has happened to me, too, before. Once, while living solo in grad school, I opened my front door to get ready to leave for class - then, forgetting my sunglasses, I turned around to go back inside. Whilst in the next room over, the bedroom, I heard my neighbor's voice (a young woman, just like me) at the door say, "Hello?" Thinking she must've been trying to get my attention to helpfully close the door in case I forgot to, I rushed out there to tell her Not to worry! I'm right here! But alas, when I ran out to the door to let her know - there wasn't a living soul in sight. Not a living soul, I said.
Regular, living humans are normally scared by unfamiliar voices in their space. So, if you have a Spirit who wants to contact you without scaring you AND get you to turn around/respond - it may try to the mimic that of a familiar voice. It's a way to get you to notice them, be more open to it and not be immediately afraid. As, once fear takes over, real, honest communication becomes impossible (just like in life). While it may have seemed like this Spirit was trying to scare you or was trying to be deliberately tricky, thankfully, this probably wasn't the case.
