The Art of Mediumship Journey

A journey into connecting with the Spirit World through the sacred practice of mental mediumship. In this course, you’ll learn how to receive clear, loving messages from Spirit using your intuitive gifts.

The exercise in this part of the journey is designed to help you consciously connect with Spirit by setting a clear intention, grounding your energy, calling in your Gatekeeper Guide, and inviting Loved Ones in Spirit to step forward one at a time. 

You will ask for insight on a question in your heart, receive what comes, and then close the connection with clarity and gratitude.

The question can be as personal and important, or as frivolous as you’re comfortable with.

Exercise:

Connecting with Spirit for Guidance

Find a quiet, comfortable space where you won’t be disturbed. 

Dim the lights, light a candle or play soft music, do anything that helps you feel relaxed and open.

Sit upright with your feet flat on the floor or lie down if you prefer.

Gently rest your gaze.

Take a few deep breaths… inhale deeply through the nose… exhale slowly through the mouth…

With each breath, allow your body to soften and your mind to quiet.

Feel your energy gently settling… imagine roots extending from your feet into the earth, anchoring you.

Now, bring your awareness to the top of your head. 

Imagine a gentle golden light above you, and allow it to pour down into your body—cleansing, relaxing and opening your energy field.

At this moment, you are safe and supported.

Silently or aloud, set your intention for this connection.

“I open myself to the presence of Spirit. I ask to connect with love, clarity, and truth, for my highest good and the highest good of all. I welcome the guidance that is meant for me today.”

Feel this intention settle into your heartspace.

Now, call upon your Gatekeeper Guide—the Spirit who helps manage your spiritual connections.

“Gatekeeper Guide, I welcome you now. Please help hold this space in light and protection. Guide this connection with love and discernment.”

Take a few moments, breathing in and out. Sense or feel their presence. This may come as a subtle shift, a feeling of warmth, a visual impression, or simply a knowing. Trust whatever arises.

Now, with your Gatekeeper’s help, open the door to any Loved Ones in Spirit who wish to step forward—one at a time.

“I invite forward any Loved Ones in Spirit who wish to connect with me at this time, for my highest good. Please come forward one at a time so I may clearly sense and receive you.”

Pause and observe. Visualize your Loved Ones in Spirit coming into the space from behind you.

Notice who steps forward—this awareness may come as a feeling, a memory, an image, a scent, or a sudden thought. Trust the experience.

When you feel a connection has been made with at least one Spirit, gently ask:

“What insight or guidance do you have for me today?” or “Can you help me with [insert your question]?”

Sit quietly.

Receive.

Don’t rush.

Let the impressions unfold. 

You may receive words, symbols, emotions or simply a deep sense of knowing.

It’s normal when you have multiple Spirits present for one to deliver the message and the other to be present only as support.

Once you’ve received the message, ask them:

“Can you give me a sign of your presence — now or in the coming days — so I know this connection was real?”

Pause.

You may feel something in the moment, or you may simply hold the request and watch for synchronicities over the next few days.

Thank the Spirit(s) who came forward.

“Thank you for your presence and your guidance. I release you in love and gratitude.”

Then thank your Gatekeeper Guide:

“Thank you for supporting this connection and keeping it safe. Please help me now fully close this link and return my energy to balance.”

Visualize the light around you gently withdrawing or sealing, and your energy returning to yourself—grounded, whole, and at peace.

Take a few deep breaths. Wiggle your fingers and toes. Gently open your eyes when you’re ready.

Try this activity 2-3x over the next week.

The Art of Mediumship Journey guided you through the sacred process of connecting with the Spirit World using the practice of mental mediumship.

You learned to recognize and interpret messages from Spirit through their intuitive senses—the “clairs”—while developing discernment, trust, and confidence. 

The course emphasizes grounding, setting clear intentions, and working with a Gatekeeper Guide to ensure safe and loving communication. 

Through guided exercises, students practice identifying Spirit energies, connecting with Loved Ones, and receiving healing guidance. 

Ultimately, this journey teaches that mediumship is not only about communication with the unseen world, but also about deep personal healing, service and remembering that we are never truly alone.
