Wondering how to get a sign from Spirit?

You may already be receiving signs from your loved ones or Spirit Guides.

While sometimes, these are just coincidences, other times, it is an attempt at communication.

The general rule of thumb is when you think it’s a sign from the Spirits. It’s most likely a sign from the Spirits, though, unless you specifically ask for one, it can be hard to know for sure. 

For some Spirits, sending signs is a skill that takes practice, and it takes them a little bit of time to master in The Spirit World. Others get the process of communicating through the veil right away. 

Even with Spirit’s learning curve, you can ask for a sign from Spirit and receive one. You can ask for guidance and also confirmation that your Angels and loved ones are there. 

How do you ask for a sign that a loved one or Spirit Guide is watching over you? How do you get guidance and confirmation of a message from Spirit?

Below is a way you can ask for a sign in four steps -

4 Steps To Ask For A Sign From Spirit

#1 Get Into A Calm State

Get into the state of an open mind and a place of peace in your heart. If you’re asking for a sign or clarification on something that triggers emotions, clear your feelings first before asking. 

Take a refreshing shower, diffuse essential oils, go for a run, blast 80s love songs. Whatever it is to release your emotions, do it.

Emotions can cloud guidance, alter the question you intend to ask, and color the direction you get, so you want to balance them before tuning in as best you can. 

As you start to return to peace, you’re ready for step 2.

#2 Think About A Mutual Symbol 

Consider the sign you’d want and understand. Try to be as specific as possible. You can ask Spirit for a physical sign, like the appearance of an object or to send you a feeling or word that will confirm a choice, path, or thought. 

The more precise you are with what type of sign or symbol you’ll understand, the more accurate Spirits can be in giving it to you. Some people call this mutual symbol a calling card. It’s an agreed-upon code. 

Meditate and think of the first thing that comes to mind for a good sign. In the case of a loved one, you may already have one decided upon. 

#3 Ask For Direction Or Confirmation

Once relaxed, comfortable, and in a peaceful place, have a sign you like, ask for a specific deceased relative or Spirit Guide for a sign they are present with you, and think of an area where you’d like particular guidance.

You can ask out loud, or in your mind – either way, they will hear you. 

# 4 Be Open

See what images come to mind immediately; as they may contain guidance right away. For physical signs, you can give a timeline. If you want to see an Eagle within three days - say so.

Open your heart, eyes, and nasal passages to receive your signs from Spirit.

Watch for signs or confirmation coming to you through the internet, your next trip out of the house, or other people, in addition to impressions you receive right after asking. 

Most Spirit signs will feel good when you get them and be positively rewarding. So if you get tingles, chills, or happy, joyful feelings with the sign, this usually is double confirmation of the sign.

Synchronicities and moments that feel like signs often have a special series of coincidences that go along with them.

You may receive a physical sign and hear a song that coincides with that sign in an exact moment of singularity. 

Your sign can also look slightly different than what you imagined, but it usually does, and this is all part of the joy or humor of working with Spirit.

In a world of occasional darkness, signs can be humorous as Spirit often tries to keep things light. 

I recently asked my Spirits for a sign of their presence, and the radio turned on at my house in the middle of the night.

Another time, I asked for a sign from the spirits, and as soon as I opened my front door the following morning, two doves landed on my doorstep. 

The biggest preventative in not receiving a sign is not noticing one that is sent your way, so the best way to see a sign is to keep an open mind-heart. In other words, have faith, as soon as you start asking for one. 

You may unexpectedly receive your sign, so be open to anything out of the ordinary; the universe does work in mysterious ways.
