How To Protect Yourself Psychically

Have you ever been to a large gathering of people, such as a restaurant, a concert, or even an airport? 

Started feeling uncomfortable for no reason? 

Seen images or thoughts flash in your mind's eye you weren't thinking before? 

Have you ever been close to someone, and when they were down and feeling mopey, you noticed yourself beginning to get a little low in Spirits, too?

If you, it's likely that you're picking up on the energy of those around you. 

And doing so is not always helpful. 

To protect yourself from getting burned out when going out into a crowd, or from getting cranky after spending a day with a cynical friend – you can empathetically buffer.

So in this post, we're going to talk about how to put on psychic protective layers.

Using A Psychic Protection Layer

If you are already a clairsentient or sensitive, welcome to the forever club.

You are likely going to continue to refine your calibration to your sensitivities over your time here on earth.

This is great, canaries - because we set the way for beauty and gentleness on planet Earth. 

You want to honor your being. 

The good news is that you can learn how to manage your gifts healthfully and cultivate an environment that is supportive of your beautiful soul. 

Whenever you are around others who are worried, it's a good idea to amplify your energy protection. 

Business meetings, airports, or even in traffic is a great place and time to boost your energy. A hospital is another such place.

Stay peaceful. Put on a psychic raincoat.

The Psychic Raincoat Visualization

A psychic raincoat is an energetic barrier you can use to prevent yourself from picking up the energetic debris of others. 

Imagine an Angel or a Guide, putting a large protective, yet psychedelic cloak on you. The colors and look may be different for different days. 

In your mind's eye, visualize yourself putting on this protective shield.

What color is it today? Are there sparkles involved? 

Once you have it, imagine the light within your belly starting to flicker and glow, growing brighter.

You can use this preemptively or in the heat of the moment to protect yourself from minor energy splashes. Small interactions with strangers and non-strangers can affect you and how you feel.

It primarily works to shield your aura from naturally picking up and scanning others for low energy projections.

When do you use it?

  • When you are in an excellent mood and want to ensure you stay that way

  • When you are determined not to let anyone else's energy rub off on you and affect how you feel or think at this moment

  • When you want to do a 'trial run experiment' to compare how you feel in the same situation with or without a raincoat layer

  • If you are interacting with someone and the interaction is difficult for you

  • If you are seeing someone from your past, and you want to maintain your present you, state of being 

  • state of mind

  • If you are prone to picking up psychic information when it's not necessary

  • When you want to stand your ground and maintain your sense of self in a situation

  • Any time you want not to absorb someone else's energy and be influenced by it

  • Any time you want to reduce your sensitivity to Spirits and intuitive information

Try this when you know you'll be having a lot of passing interactions with people at the grocery store, the airport, the beach, or a festival.
