Have you ever been able to dream, in any form, as a child, a teen, or an adult?

Found meaningful relationships between what was going on in your current life and the metaphors of your dream life?

Dreaming is one of the main ways that many people can receive information from their Angels and Spirit Guides, and visitations from Deceased Loved Ones

When I was younger, my psychic abilities were explained to me in terms of dreams and dream prophecy. Having many dreams, especially vivid ones, in my family, was a sign of a gift.

Though I tried to 'shut off' my spiritual abilities during my teenage years, college, and early in my career, I have maintained a very active dream life.

If you are suppressing, not creating time to process intuition, or have a lot going on, your dream life tends to go haywire.

Rather than fighting against an active dream life, I feel it's best to flow with it, accept it, and find ways to make it better.

Dreams are the naturally preferred method of Spirit Contact, and dreams are the way intuitive messages get to you.

Most of us are already open to dreaming and not afraid of our dreams – especially when they bring realizations, insight, and epiphanies. So dreams can be helpful.

And throughout developing my clairvoyant abilities and assisting others in developing theirs, I've come up with a few helpful tips for promoting a positive and fruitful relationship with your dream state.

And, to make your nighttime slumber and the realizations within it, more supportive to your path.

You can get something from your dreams. There are clues within them. They are there to help us and show us the truth, and thus, many people open up to seeing the truth, also called clairvoyance, through dreamwork.

Once you develop your clear-sight in a dream state, then it's easier to call upon it, on command, while awake.

Calling upon a dream state while awake is one of the things I specialize in now. And even doing that, you do need the right environment, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally.

Likewise is valid with sleeping dreams. To get the most out of your nighttime dreams, setting up your environment to reveal the truth in your dreams is the first step.

Below, I go that step and cover a few more ways you can set up your night for prophetic, positive dreams.

These are the kind we all want and the kind that supports both rest and renewal through a heightened inner vision.

6 Ways To Increase Clairvoyance In Dreams

1. Set the intention to dream

Often, if we want something to occur, half of it is setting the intention and allowing it to unfold. Mind over matter.

And this is often the case with dreams, too.

Are you in a tough situation and want guidance to come to you in your dreams? Would you like Spirit Message or confirmation of Spiritual Support in your dreams?

To set the intention to dream, simply say,

"I am open and willing to receive guidance and wisdom in my dream state, readily available to me from my higher self, guides, angels, and loved ones."

2. Prepare a dream tea

The main ingredient in my bedtime tea to promote dreaming is currently Wormwood, Artemisia absinthium. I drink it at work to promote clear thinking, too. So it's versatile.

This is an herb that's thought to promote fruitful and prophetic dreams, and it's also thought to induce visions.

By itself, it can be bitter so I often blend it with other herbs to make a dream tea.

My favorite dream tea recipe:

  • 1 part Wormwood or Mugwort - may promote vivid and peaceful dreams

  • 1 part Catnip - may support a peaceful atmosphere for the spirit

  • 1 part Skullcap - may enhance relaxation and release

The best herbs to use for teas are the ones you have on hand, can find locally, the ones you grew, or the ones someone grew for you.

Aside from that, most of the dry herbs I currently use are from Mountain Rose, because I inherited an herbal collection. However, I also like dried herbs from Starwest Botanicals and Frontier.

Directions to make the dream tea:

Boil water, the cleanest and purest, you have on hand.

Once bubbles start to reach the surface of the water, take it off the temperature, and let the water breathe until it stops bubbling.

Then, add the slightly cooled water to the herbs for 5 to 10 minutes, add honey or sweetener to your taste, and drink.

3. Make a dream pillow

Dream pillows have been used for centuries for a variety of reasons, and they are little fabric sacks filled with herbs to soothe and freshen. Sometimes they include rice or barley and double as eye pillows.

When filled with a blend of specific herbs, you can experience a more peaceful sleep, but also, experience more vivid and meaningful dreams.

My favorite dream pillow recipe:

  • 1 part Lavender Flowers – may ease, soothe, and relax the spirit

  • 1 part Rose Petals – may increase loving and peaceful thoughts

  • 1 part Chamomile Flowers – may promote relaxation and pleasant dreams

  • 1 part Hop Flowers – may aid in restful sleep and a bouncy mood

Additional Ingredients: Lemon Balm, Mullein, Cedar, Palo Santo Chips.

Directions to make the dream pillow:

Combine all the fragrant, relaxing herbs you have on hand and mix with a wooden spoon or just shake them up until the mixture looks homogeneous.

Then fill a small dream pillow or a cloth satchel (a bandana will do) with the herbal mixture and close it up with stitching, a tie-off or a flap.

Dream pillows tend to stay fragrant for around 2-3 months and need to be freshened with new herbs now and again. To save time, you can buy dream pillows from herbal farms and herbal specialists.

In place of all this, you can also go the modern route.

4. Sleep with crystals

Several crystals are known to assist in promoting dreams but also help with the ability to recall dreams. I think light-colored, translucent, and hard on the Mohs scale stones, all make great dream companions.

Try placing some of these stones in your dream pillow, under your pillow, or on your nightstand.

Anhydrite, calcite, and rose quartz are all great, as well as these stones:

Danburite. First discovered in Danbury, Connecticut, this rare and beautiful silicate has a high energetic vibration. It is said to activate both higher levels of consciousness, improve your link to the spiritual and Angelic realms.

Placing Danburite under your pillow, or by your bed at night is said to promote lucid and easily understood dreams. It is a beneficial stone for meditation, as it allows you to access inner guidance.

Danburite's energy is very soothing and comforting, and you sometimes find smaller pieces of it at gem shows, though it is not common. So if you see it for sale, consider yourself lucky and grab a piece.

Herkimer Diamonds. Used for spiritual attunement and to bring clarity to a situation.

These stones are a favorite of my family members, some of whom have small, but rather impressive collections of these stones and these stones only.

Herkimer Diamonds can release energy blocks, and for this reason, greatly enhance the clarity of dream recall. These crystals can be found regularly in upstate New York, and you can still mine them.

Blue Kyanite. Associated with the third eye and throat chakra, increasing clairvoyant abilities, and creating better communication with self and your truth.

Blue Kyanite helps stimulate healing and insightful dreams to promote a higher level of spiritual communication and truth. It is excellent for those who want clarity.

You can often find flat wands of Blue Kyanite at gem shows, and these are great for under a pillow.

5. Pay attention to repeating metaphors

The key to unlocking your dreams is to pay attention to the symbols and metaphors.

Your repeating symbols will be the best ones to learn first, and consulting a dream book is often helpful when you begin symbol interpretation.

Once you begin to notice the repeating images, you can start to uncover themes and decode them into metaphors.

As you begin to keep track of recurring symbols and metaphors, you'll find that often you see and have the same ones. These symbols can then become your shorthand to your inner guide's knowledge.

And soon, what was once a useless symbol, is now an indicator or insight of a present situation or perhaps, a sign of something significant. Symbols, especially the metaphors that repeat, can be telling.

Symbolic sight is considered the first language of all consciousness, so it is one-way universal wisdom that communicates with us.

6. Record your most curious dreams with a journal

When you start paying attention to your dreams (and your clairvoyant intuition), the Spirit World begins to pay attention, too.

Angels, Spirit Guides, and Deceased Loved Ones often provide guidance, robust information, and even occasional visits in dreams.

When you begin to open the door to receptivity in the dream state, the other world will often respond, and provide you with even more frequency and clarity.

While you can interpret dreams upon waking and hash them out with friends, loved ones, and family members – it is tough to take note of patterns without a record.

I find that just jotting down the most significant dreams helps me keep track of ideas, concepts, or plans that keep cycling back.

Some people keep a recorder right next to their bed, but I usually just hem and haw over it in the morning and then add it to my notes. Then I eventually go back through them all every couple of months to find the patterns.

Record your dreams; however, it works for you, but I do find keeping a record of the more prominent visions received while unconscious is valuable.

So to recap, to improve your clairvoyance with dreams

  • Set the intention to have the kind of dreams you want

  • Prepare a dream tea

  • Make a dream pillow in the old or modern way

  • Sleep with crystals

  • Pay attention to metaphors

  • Record your dreams with a journal

Give a try to any of these. I usually suggest starting with up to three on the first wave and then eventually incorporating all of this into a routine.

Making sense of your dream space and creating a dreaming ritual can enhance and promote restfulness. So you may find that in addition to having more fruitful dreams from trying the above, you may wake up feeling more refreshed, too.

There are many types of information we can process and receive in your dreams, and the most exciting are the visions.

The above processes can help with improving visions. Still, as you work on them, other intuitive awarenesses may open, so keep watch for this.
