Whether you're working with the rising light or the falling light, in either the summer or winter Solstice - you can tap into the continual ebb and flow of the Universe and your connection to it when energy is heightened on the Solstices.

Inward we connect, outward we give, both directions, we flow.

For each time you connect with Spirit, you connect within, and each time you share that connection, you spread that love outward.

Each Solstice, we mark the importance of this connection to light and dark, to Sun and Moon Energy, to the wisdom of each and necessity of all.

The importance of retreating inward and the importance of rising outward. If you are retreating now, going within, or if you are putting yourself out to the world this Solstice, you can anchor this connection.

When you do, you may experience a deeper link to your art, your projects, or to your work.

Since there is often no solid point in this flow of life, Solstice is a great day to mark initiations, set intentions, open gateways, and close them.

Calling in Angels for support in any of this Solstice symbolism usually blesses and amplifies the change, giving it more energy to move on this plane.

Any Solstice is often a day of heightened energetic day for Moon or water energy, also known as night wisdom, or Sun or fire energy, also known as light wisdom. Whichever Solstice you are on, you can use the increased spiritual energy to strengthen and honor your connection to the Angels.

If you are looking for a special ceremony to celebrate the Solstice, below are a few ways I suggest rooting into your connection to the Divine and the Angelic to help you rise higher or go deeper during this next season of the year -

4 Tips To Connect With Your Angels During A Solstice

1. Light A Candle

For me, a candle represents my body, the light of Spirit, and the smoke of the connection, the link between the physical and nonphysical.

In the act of lighting a candle, you are, in essence, acknowledging the beauty and the power of this three-way link between you, Spirit, and the Universe.

For any candle you select this Solstice:

Use any flame to light a fire source you can even visualize it

Say a prayer or intention of gratitude for what you want to take or gain from this upcoming season

Momentarily reflect on things you learned or are grateful to have known or come into contact with in the last

Allow this candle to burn for at least three breaths and up to an entire evening, whichever is safest for your flame of choice, and each time you pass by, when you blow it out, pause to remember your intention, which helps guide the Angels and you.

2. Prepare An Intentional Meal

When you prepare, enjoy, and eat food, you are experiencing and being satisfied from the gifts of the Earth. Your connection, in your physical body, to this life-giving food found only in the physical world in which you now live is celebrated.

Each and every one of us is, at heart, a spirit within a body, having a human experience.

In our human experience, it is of essential nature that we connect our own Spirits to the Divine, but also allow ourselves to become grounded, and rooted within our physical body.

Eating makes one feel safe, secure, and loved. You always feel better when you eat, especially after a spiritual or emotional day.

In the process of digesting food, you are providing your own Spirit a warm, safe, home – a place to operate efficiently and come back to when it feels a need for security.

In preparing a meal this Solstice, see this as a connection between your Spirit and your body, the act of eating.

Try visualizing golden spiritual light over your food or rising fire energy in your core as you enjoy the meal. Call in Archangels like Archangel Ariel for provision to bless the food and your energy field.

Use the meal as an amplification of your connection to the Earth, and enjoy the energy increase you feel when preparing and consuming a meal.

Some people like to visualize and set places for their ancestors during these meals, and feature seasonal foods only available in your location at this time of year, celebrating what the earth has to offer and the abundance around.

Invite friends, place candles, and express gratitude for the ways in which you have spiritually grown this season, what you are grateful for, and what you hope to see come in the future.

Sometimes, I simply visualize Christ, Quan Yin, Mother Mary, Archangel Light over the food and water as I make it, imagining the Angelic Light from above coming over what is being consumed.

3. Do An Oracle Card Reading

Providing a card reading for yourself and a friend is a great activity on a day with heightened Sun Energy, summer Solstice, or Moon Energy, winter Solstice.

Typically summer solstices are great for external readings, or action-based readings, asking questions about what to do or how to go about a solution to something.

Winter, or Moon Energy Solstices, are great for self-reading, and asking questions on how to understand or integrate something, how to look at something so it is easier to move ahead.

Doing a spiritual reading is a fantastic way to evaluate where you have been, where you are now, and where you are going in the upcoming season.

I prefer a Three Card Spread for seasonal readings using your favorite deck of Oracle cards, shuffle and pull three cards for yourself or for a friend.

The right card is your past, the middle card is your present, and the left card is your future.

Interpret these cards for yourself using your intuition or a small guidebook for the deck or by using these posts:

Ask your Angels to provide you with the most important information for you to know now, this Solstice.

Due to heightened Sun and/or Moon Energy on a Solstice, you may get a deeper connection, or be able to access greater levels of consciousness, making a spiritual awakening or ah-ha moment more possible on a Solstice.

Angels often speak to us through cards, as it is an easy and efficient way for them to deliver information directly to you and without question.

For best results, try incorporating an Oracle Card deck featuring messages from certain groups of Spirits, like an Animal Guides, Angels or Loved Ones themed deck.

Taking some time on a solstice to do a spiritual reading, going over meanings of your cards with a friend or in private meditation, can assist you in soaking in deeper meanings and sense the connection present.

4. Perform An Act of Release

I consider each Solstice like an even bigger full moon esque-like opportunity for change or a shift, a date marking a new period.

An opportunity to reflect on where you have come from and what you need to release to welcome in and manifest something new, something more aligned with your path now.

This Solstice, release, give away or give back something to The Universe.

Write down an idea that no longer serves you, delete and clear your inbox, collect some things to give to the community, a friend or family member.

In the act of releasing, you will welcome in something new for yourself, and draw towards you, opportunities that will serve you now. Letting things go, whether they are ideas or things, can clear the slate for new seeds to germinate, allowing any intention you have space to bloom in the next season.

An example of a release exercise you could do for the Solstice:

Going back to the first idea, this Solstice, get out a piece of paper and cut it into pieces.

Big enough squares that you can write in.

In each square, write something you need to let go of this Solstice season. Think of as many things as you can, as each of us has many things we can release at any moment.

When you have finished writing, take your papers, fold them up, and place them in a fireproof bowl.

Carry both the papers and the bowl outside. Place your bowl on the ground, in a safe windproof place, firmly planted on the earth. Light a match, a piece of paper, or kindling on fire, and place it in the bowl.

As your papers burn, the ashes become smoke. Say to yourself, that as the papers smoke, this smoke is releasing these thoughts, people, emotions, expectations from your life, back to your Angels and Spirit.

There is a space now open within you, and once available, your Angels will send in new and exciting opportunities your way.

At this point, as the papers smoke or become ash, you may like to say a wish or a prayer to their Angels, as smoke is known as the mixture of water energy and fire energy, also known as Moon and Sun Energy, the essence of creation that links us and the ethers.

Meaning, it is through smoke that creates a link to the Angelic, so it is a great time to ask for a sign or a prayer to be answered.
