An aura is the energetic body of the human Spirit.

Seeing an aura is possible because energy is visible to the naked, human eye when you know how to look for it, and that’s what we’re going to be discussing in this post.

Anything composed of molecular material has an electric field.

Even if the charge of this electric field is neutral, the electric field can become charged with movement or change in the area of the being with the energy field in question.

Seeing someone's aura can be beneficial in so many ways.

How can seeing auras be helpful

Seeing auras can be helpful because they can assist you in having more information about the subtleties in yours and other energy in your space. This can improve your ability to “read a room” and empathize with those in your immediate environment.

Increased social and environmental awareness is a possible benefit of being able to see auras, so is increased happiness in your co-creating relationships, as you are more in-tune with both the bold and gentle waves of energy present allowing you to better navigate your space and respect the needs of those within it.

It can also be beneficial to detect a pet's energy field.

When you can sense an aura, you can sense the energy that will restore balance back to the energy body, or assist with amplifying it or enhancing it for wellness.

Many people can sense the energy of someone before they see it face to face.

And the good news is that if you can identify someone's vibe, you can train your vision to see this energy as a color, also known as an aura.

Some people have clear auras, some have the rainbow, and some people have auras with colors of specific dominant colors.

The loose charge field of a person's body can change from day-to-day and throughout the season of their life.

While we all have a home energy color for this lifetime, keep in mind that what you see one day in someone's field, may fade out the next.

Each person does have underlying energy for this lifetime, and this is the aura.

When you see a person's energy body, it's generally a beautiful experience because you can tap into their radiance.

Imagine seeing a heavenly body up close, in the right lighting, this is often what a healthy, strong, and vibrant human energy field can look like.

To see an aura, it's partly a matter of training your eyes to look for the subtle energy field around something or someone.

So to begin, below I'll walk you through the process of seeing an aura, yours or another's, in six easy steps -

Psychic Development. How to see energy - How To See Auras Quickly with Six Easy Exercises. Photo of prismatic heart crystal held up by human hand in multicolored lights by Matthew Fournier on Unsplash with text overlay of title.

Step 1. Identify a potential subject(s) to practice on

When looking for an aura, remember you are looking for the visually subtle electric field around or radiating from something.

So the closer your subject is to vibrancy and life usually, the stronger the aura.

To start sensing an aura, choose a living subject, your or another.

If that something is an active being, moving, changing, growing, and shifting forms, it will be much easier to see the aura because it'll be more vibrant.

For best results, select a subject that has an active, energetic system such as a houseplant, a tree, a friend, an animal, and you can even choose a moving body of water.

These are all excellent subjects to practice on.

If you don't have a new subject, you can also practice this on yourself in front of a mirror.

Step 2. Dim the lights

Subtle energy is easiest to see when your senses are relaxed.

So dim things down, turn down any noise, and lighting, and this tends to open the senses to perceive more.

Since in this exercise, we're using our eyes to see an aura, our external clairvoyance, limit any distract sensory exposure coming into through the visual cortex.

Step 3. Get a hand-held mirror or get the object in front of you

Place a mirror across from you at a comfortable distance of at least one foot, arm's length, and up to ten feet away.

Do this same thing if you are practicing with an external subject.

Make sure that your upper body, at least from your chest, shoulders, and head upwards, is visible in the mirror or that your subject is upright.

Step 4. Relax your body and get comfortable

Once you've dimmed the lights, and gotten your subject in the viewing area at least an arm's length and some distance away from you, start to relax your body.

Get into any semi-upright relaxation position you can and start to move your body relaxing ways to settle into this spot.

Step 5. Next, relax your vision

Release all strain from your vision, practice gazing upon the room you are in and the objects in it.

Take a moment to relax your eyes.

Widen your gaze, you want to move your eyes into an expanded gaze state, similar to how you would take in a grand canyon or an ocean.

Instead of pinpointed vision, aim for the soft gaze you'd use to look upon a lover or a child you love.

Focus your eyes in the direction of the object on the room and release your focus into a gaze.

To make sure your gaze is unfocused, see if you can look at another object in the room with fine, micro details print.

Is it fuzzy? Good. Your gaze is softer now.

Now turn back to your subject, release your vision into a full wide focus gaze. This makes it easier to see subtle energy, which often looks very similar to a heatwave.

Step 6. Gaze into the mirror or at the subject

On your final release, move your gaze into the mirror to look.

Gaze with a full relaxed vision in the mirror or object in front of you.

It may help to lean back or if your subject is against a tan or cream-colored wall.

Practice for as long as you can hold the gaze or until you start to see a halo around the shoulders, head, or crown.

The aura, when you start to see one, can look like a clear halo, the fuzzy air around the body, translucent colors near the head, cascading rainbow light down the rest of the body, or a wavy rainbow-metallic border around the entire body.

It can take up to three to five times of practice to get it, and once you get it, you get it.

I like to use these exercises above to see a person's glow.

When patience with others is helpful, it allows me to speak to their higher level. I also really like using this activity when working with animals to find out how to serve.

If you're a psychic healer on the professional level, you might want to see into a person's energy field to see what needs to be healed or where the injuries are on the energetic level.

When looking into auras, always ask Spirit to guide you to the positive balancing aspects and ways to expand the aura to optimal vibrancy.

Everyone desires this vibrancy in different ways, so it will always steer you to the best outcome for all.

A few things to keep in mind when viewing auras

You may not be able to see everyone's aura

When a person has been hurt or is afraid, they may recoil their aura to an inner light inside their stomach.

It's still there, and usually much more golden and dense in color. So if you perceive a person's aura as black or negative in these situations, the aura may only be condensed.

Sending healing light to a person's energy field with permission can bring this aura back out.

Some auras are really diffuse

Please keep in mind that for some, their energy will appear diffuse everywhere.

Some people have very open energy fields, and it's very comfortable for them to relax and expand their auras.

People also tend to expand out their aura at home and pull it in when in unfamiliar places.

Meaning, it may be easier to see a bright aura around those when they're comfortable or after asking your client to breathe in their energy field.

Some auras have distinct boundaries and deep colors

For others, you may see more of a bright white line.

Auras with distinct boundaries are most common among those who create for a living, people who heal, who work with other people to inspire them, or in leadership positions.

All souls auras are unique though what they all share in common is all the colors are there.

However, most have one that's pronounced during this lifetime and know certain conditions will bring out certain aspects.

Most people have really beautiful auras

So beautiful it would make you forget about all the pain in the world. It is really stunning to see a vibrant aura.

This is why most lightworkers prefer to see people by their auras and through the lens of what's possible.
