A Short Guide To Spiritual Clairvoyance

This gift to see Spirits is called clairvoyance, and it often starts coming in much earlier than when you'd start to notice it. 

You can see many things as a clairvoyant, but in this post, we're going to be focusing on Spirits.

It's possible to see clairvoyant images internally and externally, and they all appear a little bit different to everyone. We're going to discuss the nuances below.

While most people sense Spirits before they ever see them, often, the sensing is accompanied by other clairvoyant clues that those in The Spirit World are visiting you.

These clues come in a variety of ways – Spirit, such as your Spirit Guides and Angels, can use signs and symbols, noises, movement, and visuals to get your attention.

Spirits can visit you both while you're awake, but they often do it while you are dreaming. 

In this article, we're focusing specifically on waking visits, those in which you're fully aware of your surroundings. 

I get a lot of questions on how you can see Spirits, so in this article, I share with you the five most common ways that Spirits make themselves visible to people.

When you're in a relaxed state of mind, when your eye muscles are relaxed or when the lighting is low, this is when it's easiest to sense the subtle energy around you.

Lighting is usually important because, through this first subtle energy, is how Spirits typically appear. Once you know how Spirits appear and get your environmental lighting just right, then it becomes easier to see them. 

The 5 Most Common Ways To See Spirits

1. As Heatwave Air

The energetic vibration and density of Spirit are different than that of things in the physical world, so seeing a change in the frequency or texture in the air around you is a common way to see a presence.

Most commonly, when a Spirit is present, you'll see something that looks like a fuzzy heatwave air materializes, and move across a room. 

2. In Your Mind's Eye

Clairvoyant visions of Spirits can appear in your mind. It is called Soul Sight, and we all have access to it. Behind your physical eyes, between your brows, is the Third Eye Chakra. 

Your third eye energy center extends out in front of you and behind you. When you're using your mind's eye to see, the images could appear as memory or a flash of an image, or just a symbol. 

When a Spirit is present, though, it will seem like there is a persistent figure lingering in your inner vision.

People can see Spirits internally in their mind's eye like this or externally as a hologram projected out into the space in front of them.

3. Sparkles of Light

The ubiquitous way Angels, Spirit Guides, and Deceased Loved Ones start to appear.

They appear as a flicker of light, similar to the way sunlight reflecting off of water or a mirror looks. Sometimes the light sparkles are different color tones with each Spirit who visits you having a slight variation and shade of White Light.

Other times, it's an orb or two of White Light out of the corner of your eyes. These could be Spirits are stopping by to say hello.

Typically, when a light sparkle is a positive Spirit rather than something else, it tends to move diagonally, around you, and in your peripheral vision. 

Seeing sparkles of light is also a sign of your Third Eye Chakra opening. Because Spirits don't have physical bodies, they often will not appear as a full apparition when they want to make themselves known. 

Some people believe this is to conserve their energy for messages, signs, and other things, such as favors.

4. As Shadows

We've all heard of the Shadow People. 

They are not always dark. Loving, compassionate, and peaceful Spirits can and will also appear in shadow form.

Many forest creatures are known to be reasonably gentle, and live in the shadows. Likewise, it can be true with the Spirits who live there. 

Loved Ones and Earth Spirits can often appear this way, especially in low-lighting, as it may be the only way they can appear to you.

Especially if it is easier for the environmental conditions to appear as dark versus white.

Darkness isn't the absence of light. It's more or less the presence of density. So if there are shadows in your house, it could be a visitation by a guide or a deceased loved one.  

For this one, because sometimes destiny can manifest to an extreme level, pay attention to how you feel in the presence of the energy. Your clairsentience can be a secondary indicator as to what type of Spirit you have with you. 

Having a family member in Spirit visit often appears as a shadow down the hall; this is the way one of my grandfathers seem to appear to people. 

Another reason Spirit could appear shadowy is if they are in a denser form, and they pass in front of a light source. 

5. As A Full Or Partial Apparition

Rare, but yes, Spirits can, do, and have appeared as a whole or partial apparition. 

Deceased Loved Ones and Angels do appear in this way.

Full/partial apparitions are usually whitish in hue and smoky in texture; they can also appear in full color or resembling a hologram. 

Often you will only see a Spirit in this form for 15-seconds or less — usually, only a couple of seconds. It takes a lot of energy to manifest this way, so most can only materialize like this for a short time.

Then, you can open up your ability to see them through relaxation, low lighting, and spending time around natural things that calm you. 

These are just a few of the methods of how you can see Spirits and how Spirits might appear to you when they do.

Now that you know how they appear, the easiest way to see Spirits is when your mind is calm, your vision is relaxed and when the lighting is low.
