New Age Literature Review Released

Of all the seas of new books, mantras, self help ballads and spoken poetries released every year, it can be hard to know what to chose next when selecting the newest reading on your list. What about something old, rather than something new? What about something that reviews the entire field up until this date and catches you up on everything that's been covered thus far?
That's where literature reviews come into play.
Literature reviews are common in most academic and scientific fields.
They serve the purpose of helping everyone understand where the field is going and where it has been. They catch people up to date. And they provide clues on where we can all go next.
However, literature reviews are largely absent from the intuitive community.
There is one for Tarot. There is one for Wicca. There is one for Paranormal.
But most of these are more psychological evaluations of the believers, not necessarily a review of the literature produced by the believers themselves.
Sociology, agriculture, ecology, psychology, mathematics... all have regular round-ups of the progressive thought, citing concepts together, and creating links that point to places where further development is needed.
But, because the intuitive community is largely unregulated by any academic body, progressive and new age and intuitive thought concepts introduced over a period of time are largely scattered, disjointed, and unconnected, at best.
It's a maze of information out there for intuitives, who, contrary to what most may think, are highly methodical and analytical beings. They too want to study the field in an organized approach.
In the past, what this has meant is for the both new age seeker and for the professional intuitive doing their own research, is that each party must do their own comprehensive literature review, taking years at a time each. Think of all the time wasted!
Everyone reinventing the wheel on their own research because nowhere has it been compiled together.
Not until now.
In 2017, a new literature review of intuitive concepts covered thus far in the field was released.
The author Roser Segarra, realized this gap and wanting to share her knowledge with everybody, she's compiled all of these concepts into a book complete with:
Relatedness of Concepts
In new her book, Living on Earth: A Guide to Help You Achieve Health, Happiness, and Success (View on Amazon), Roser provides this review, along with a guide for the living, while guiding the reader through all the major spiritual and philosophical concepts released over the past 60 years or so, summarizing them, and citing them to major thought groups.
This was something much needed in our industry and among spiritual seekers, and something I'd personally been wishing for.
Roser had clearly heard this call and stepped forward.
Living on Earth: A Guide to Help You Achieve Health, Happiness, and Success is a handbook for intuitive living and a summary of all that's been covered thus far in intuitive emerging thought.
This book is a concept summary. A shortcut for students and a round up for researchers alike, Living on Earth tells you everything you need to know to live a spiritual life, and debriefs you on the major schools of thought out there, giving you a round trip tour of the entire spirituality field, all while acting as a guide for life.
A shortcut for over 25 years of research that points you in the direction of further reading for all topics introduced, this is a great tool in anyone's library and an excellent piece of reading, review, and knowledge.
I'd recommend this book to:
New students to catch up to date on existing thoughts, ideas, and concepts in the field
New students feeling overwhelmed on what to study, where to focus their time, unsure of what their interests are
Professionals who counsel and coach students and clients on intuitive thought concepts
Professionals looking to stay up to date on their continuing education credentials for work
Anyone looking for an encyclopedia for intuitive concepts for their library
Anyone interested in where the field of intuitive thought stands today, where the gaps are, and understanding what has already been covered and by whom
Living on Earth: A Guide to Help You Achieve Health, Happiness, and Success is more than just a guide for the living, it's a much needed comprehensive review of our field, detailing where new age thought has been and where it can go from here.
Great book. Great literature review. Much needed in our field.
Wonderful work, Roser! And congrats on such a thoughtful contribution to literature, professionals of study and students alike.
Living on Earth is not yet available at most libraries, though in time, that will come.
