March 2020 // Cards of the Month

March 2020 Cards of the Month, The Fool Card, The Bee Card and the I Am Ambitious Card on a wood table surrounded by desert plants with a winter background by Amanda Linette Meder.

Hey, welcome to the March 2020 edition of Cards of the Month! Just as an FYI, this post includes affiliate links.

Every month for all of 2020, I'll be sharing a series of oracle, Tarot, and affirmation cards on the last Friday of the month for that month's upcoming cards. To see the last two month's Cards of the Month, you can find January's Edition Here and February's Edition Here.

Getting started, we have some immaculate astrology that compliments the cards pulled this month.

Beginning March with a Mercury Retrograde in Aquarius, last month it was in Pisces, this could symbolize that now is a great time to review some creative or planning related theories you have.

This is before we reach a Full Moon in Virgo, in the second week of the month, which suggests a pinnacle time to get detailed and put some things into action.

That's just starting the energy of the month.

For the cards pulled for March, the symbolism this month all seem to all be about going on a journey, one that requires diligence and patience, with just a little bit of rightful arrogance, and that you, the viewer, are ambitious enough to pursue it.

So let's start looking at the cards to see what we have in store.

The Fool

The first Card this month has got to be one of my favorites in all the Tarot. The Fool is such an opportunistic, proud, and fun card.

I got The Tarot Illuminati Deck as a gift, and it's one of the Tarot Decks I learned to read on.

While I think everyone needs a standard Rider-Waite to cross-reference, I think The Tarot Illuminati fits for readers who want to work on their symbolism development.

It also works for those working with lots of new clients, or clients that may be difficult to read for one reason or another, because the images are incredibly detailed.

There is much symbolism you can pull out of each Card, making it easier to interpret the images based just on the artwork.

The art of this deck gives you a lot to go on for interpreting what the Card means if, for any reason, you are ever in the absence of any book, it's been a long time since you interpreted the Card or you have never interpreted the Card before.

But to me, in general, The Fool symbolizes you've started a journey where not all the facts are known, yet there is confidence the journey will uncover said information, and also, you'll have the tools to deal with it when said information comes along.

It's a very lofty, almost arrogant card, and still, it feels like the journeyperson in this Card has been on other missions and won, so they have the confidence they can get to win this one too.

When going on a new journey, you do need a certain level of arrogance, a belief you can do it.

Arrogance is nothing more than having a slightly exaggerated self of one's worth or importance, which is to me, very similar to the energy needed in self-marketing, promotion, and putting a little bit of extra oomph into your work.

So if you are feeling a little proud this month, let it show.

The Sun Card sometimes equated similar with the Fool Card. To me, the Fool Card is unlike The Sun Card, which suggests a fresh baby completely naive.

The Fool is more, to me, a young Impala up for another round the Savanna.

Whenever I see The Fool, it also means the journey in question has already started. The Fool has made up their mind, they are dressed, and they are already on their way.

With that in mind, this month, this Card indicates you are confidently and slightly arrogantly, however, earned, going on a journey, but it's going to be okay - look at the character on the Card.

The whole Card here symbolizes a character of some wealth, with a satchel, noting there are supplies available, in a destination place dreams are made of. There is also a semi-expensive looking dog nearby.

The dog represents a loyal, enthusiastic friend that has manifested for this exact part of the plan. So look around, you aren't on the journey alone, nor will this journey necessarily be bleak.

This Card suggests some preparations occurred, the satchel, and that given the dress, you'll probably be quite comfortable as you go on the journey, and it might be beautiful too, given the scene suggesting a wealth of beauty.

You may even have entertainment in the form of this friend at your leg.

The Fool Card symbolizes someone who is going somewhere to learn new things, the kind of things you couldn't know that you didn't know, until after the journey.

So this Card also symbolizes a person who is somewhat right on the cusp of a sort of Hero's Journey, where when complete, they'll be wiser, more respected, and at the very least, have come to know, see and feel more than they have before.

If you have just started to dig into a project, or if you are thinking of one that you already have been working on:

It may take going one more extra mile to complete, but you have some provisions to do it and the proof of past successes boosting your confidence that you can get it done. Tap into this feeling.

For the next Card this month, we have an Animal Message Card from The Creatures' Secrets Animal Divination Cards. This deck was first launched on Kickstarter in 2016, and if you've followed the blog, it may look familiar because I've featured it before.

Unique for its scientific style of drawing, I typically see Animal Cards as Ally Spirit Helpers who want to support what is going on presently with energies they are offering.

Animal helpers are a present that you can tap into to enhance the outcome and your experience with the current leg of the journey you're on.

Each part of the path requires different skills and tools, so usually, you pull different Animal Cards to support different Tarot Cards.

This month, this Bee Card comes forward to suggest production, contribution, creation, meticulous, busyness energies are coming in to support your month, and you can tap into them.

Sometimes I pull animal allies that are more about relaxation, play, and being nurturing. This one is more about work, work, work, and working together with others to produce a goal.

However, that doesn't mean there isn't time for play, as the Bee's job sometimes involves visiting sites of beauty and sweetness to get the tasks done.

On the surface level, the Bee suggests the meticulous continuous concentrated efforts is going to enhance where you're going in life this month, and get you closer to your desired goal or outcome.

This symbolizes that March may be a rather busy month where you are paying attention to fine details, so investing in anything that may promote you being able to further commit to a fluid, sharp workflow may be in your best interest.

Like the honeybee, first consider optimizing the resources you have in your environment as part of tasks this month.

Are there any blooming flower patches you've heard about but haven't tapped into yet? Maybe it's time this month to swing by that garden and see what the buzz is about!

The Bee is famously drawn to brightness, contrast, liveliness, and places where the sap and nectar are flowing. So this month, try not to be bashful in doing the same.

Do a scan of your network and see where things are buzzing, and see if you can swing by those spots this month. Tapping into the energy can add more honey to the hive, and it is also a vital part of the production process.

Try to balance socialization and diligence this month, though, as the Bee is known to be productive as well as opportunistic to finding new resources and sources of food and places where work is needed to be done.

From the guidebook that comes with this deck,

"The Bee is a big sweetheart. She shows us to make wise our time and nip ennui in the bud. If chilling too much is making you unhappy, the Bee encourages you to find a task you love.

There are things to be done around the house and with your projects. Be blessed you did your part and had a productive day. Look to the Bee for inspiration on harvesting and gathering for your home."

With Springtime on the horizon in the Northern Hemisphere, we will all naturally soon be thinking about how to get the most from our harvests, because we are often planting seeds this time of year right in alignment with the agricultural cycles.

So look to the Bee for insight on how you can expect the best soar, what you can do to do your part, and get the most from this next journey you're on.

The energy of diligence and community is on your side.

I Am Ambitious

The Final Card this month is an Affirmation Card from the I Am Everything Deck created by the founder of I & Am Co, Tarisha Clark.

You won't need to wear off the glaze on these to get them to shuffle easily.

On this deck, all the affirmations and images are on one side, meaning the backs of these cards are all the same so that they can be shuffled without your eyes closed.

Due to the number of cards, the deck stack itself is thin enough to also be superb for traveling with if you are short on space.

The first Card of this deck is the I Am Love Card - 1, the Final Card is the I Am Perceptive Card - 30, with that in mind, this month's Card is the I Am Ambitious - 29 Card.

If we were reading the I-Ching, I would tell you that this Card feels like the approach to the near completion card. It feels like the last fifteen minutes of the movie, the final push to get the job done, one last oomph.

This Card lets you know that the ambition is still in you, and you do have the energy to put your thing into action.

From the Card, the quote reads:

I put my goals and ideas into action. I take a leap of faith and I believe in myself. When I put my heart's desires into action, it is for the good of all those involved. I am ambitious.

This Card, paired with the Bee Card above, is permission to think about being busy being a healthy way to feel this month.

Consider feeling a new way about journeys and production, perhaps a new feeling of upbeat positivity about being busy, opportunistic, and community-minded.

Anything you need to feel ambitious, tap into this month.

Some people have a splash of cold water on their face first thing in the morning. Some people like green tea. Some people enjoy a small espresso in the afternoon.

Others like to read inspiring books or listen to music that stimulates emotions meant to mimic the feeling of soaring to the top.

I like to listen to instrumental journey movie soundtracks as I work on tasks that require diligence or only the inspiring, redemptive parts of symphonies while I am working on something meticulous where perhaps it is only I who may ever notice the detail.

Whatever you need to feel ambitious this month, do it, only make sure to tap into the resources in your environment, just as the Bee would do.

All these energies are present this month to support you.

So to recap, for March 2020

To me, this feels like March is going to be a productive month, perhaps a little busy, with the energy coming in to support you persevering and thriving.

Towards the end of March, we have a New Moon in Aries, so this suggests an opportunity for an exciting time to put something into action and see it take wind this month.

If you've always felt one way about the frequent stops and starts of the journeys of life, about productivity, or ambition, use these cards this month to consider they could be an opportunity to look at life's goals another way.

Productivity in the Bee's world can involve visiting sites of beauty and sweetness.

Could a journey involve a happy sidekick manifesting just for the occasion coming along, and if so, would that be lovely?

Ambition could mean believing in yourself.

The Fools Card suggests you can and would be served by doing that now.

Would you be willing to stick out your chest and strut, show off your feathers a bit this month, knowing you are supported by a friend, the energy of meticulousness, and some sort of wealth?

Can arrogance sometimes be necessary and reasonable?

As I can tell by the cards, it looks like it's going to be a productive month, which may produce a new mood as you process towards your goals.

At the end of the month, we also finish with Mars entering Aquarius, and we started the month with Mercury in Retrograde there.

Astrologically, this suggests what is being pursued or analyzed this month, could be guiding you to a genius, actionable idea if you just keep going.

Are you looking for a breakthrough?

The cards and the sky both suggest getting through March, and you may be even closer than ever before.
