The Archetypes of Divine Wild Woman Oracle Card Deck is a 31-card mixed media oracle deck released in 2016, this deck was designed as a transitional deck for those looking to move from physical divination tools to more ecstatic divination using more of your intuition.
Weening off the booklet?
This is your deck without training wheels!
Booklet lovers, while this deck may not be for you, it's got such stimulating imagery, that you may realize upon using the deck that you don't even need one and in fact, the trend now is that many deck authors are now moving away from printing booklets and into simply printing instructional cards within the deck box.
My favorite part about this deck is that it is a mixed media deck, making it the most unique deck visually, that I've seen released in the past couple of years.
Most decks include uniform imagery across all cards, however, this deck includes 3 different types of visual media, chakra cards, element cards and goddess cards, giving it incredible diversity for daily readers and multiple reading types possible with this deck.
Meaning, since you're not looking at the same imagery style every day or every time you pull, you're less likely to get bored with this deck than you might get with other decks.
When you open the box, you'd think it does come with a space for where a booklet would be, but here, is actually where you put your charms, crystals and anything else you'd like to charge the deck with.
Basically, it's a deck that comes with a stash box for whatever you need to do your readings with or cleanses your cards with. And I love that about it.
Who doesn't love stashing their favorite stuff along with their cards? I do! I do!
I've never seen another deck to include a gap like this inside the box for such uses, and I love that about this deck. In fact, I plan on switching out what I have in it now (some feathers and objects) for a small match box and some sage or palo for on the go readings and clearings, because it's actually the deck I keep in my glove box right now for that.
So, here are some pictures of the deck:
For the professional readers out there:
The backs of these cards are indeed uniform and they do not have a defined up position, making these singled-sided cards perfect for blind and double-blind readings, either on yourself or others.
The reason I mention this here is that sometimes you will have decks that have images and words on both sides, the backs and on the front, making them impossible to give readings with unless you do so blindfolded, and forget it, with clients.
These are called two-sided cards and they can be excellent for inspirational cards or for card formats meant for daily contemplation, but they don't work so well for reading cards. To give an unbiased reading, you really do need one side blank to have face up. This deck has that, so readers - yep, it's safe and reader-approved for accurate and full use in your business.
Pros of the deck:
Card diversity with three types of cards
Comes with space for crystals and deck charging supplies
Single-sided cards perfect for blind or double-blind readings
Cons of the deck:
No booklet (could also be a pro if you don't use a booklet, are an environmentalist)
As I mentioned above, the trend now is for reading decks to not include booklets, just as tarot decks tend to not include booklets, so get prepared to start seeing this more and more. The message here being that you are your own booklet.
All in all -
The Archetypes of the Divine Wild Woman Deck is one of the most creative releases I've seen within the past several years and best of all, it's indie!
So if you're looking for a unique deck that doesn't involve angels, includes stimulating imagery, works with earth imagery and goddess, and, includes a stash box.
The Archetypes of the Divine Wild Woman Deck is an incredibly unique deck that would make an excellent addition to any collectors or professional readers collection.
