So this weekend my sister came over, and as we normally do and have been doing since we were 13, we started trading things.
She gives me a little extra of what she has and I give her a little extra of what I have. We switch back and forth recipes, clothes, jewelry, gifts, and sometimes, oracle cards.
As you may already know, I love Oracle Cards. I love them for their ability to bring abstract spiritual concepts into the tangible with clear pictures and words. I've found Oracle Card Decks are all a little different and seem to be made for certain people in certain soul groups, whose Guides seemingly got together and came up with a way to communicate their type of messages, to their type of people. This is why, as you know, not all will decks resonate with all people.
My sister had recently met with Devin Strickler of Mystic Moons Tarot, who happens to be the creator of the new I Am Power Deck. Recently, Devin had gifted her a deck of her new cards which, she then gifted to me. Ahhh . . . the trickle down . . . I love it.
Now check these babies out:
The way that I have been working with the I Am Power Deck is by pulling three cards every day from a "master shuffle" that I've placed on my altar.
A master shuffle is when you shuffle the deck all at once at the start. Then you let it go.
After that, you pull individual cards from the top each day as a way of receiving daily messages.
It's something I just made up, and it only works for decks you reserve for personal use, for obvious reasons, but it's great.
Anyway, once your deck is master shuffled, I take 1-3 cards off the top and mini-shuffle those, if I feel like it and depending on the day, in my hands before placing them on my desk. Whatever shows up is the energy I work with that day.
This way working of a deck, master shuffle style, I've found really allows all bodies of that individual deck's teachings and guidance system to reach you.
Rise Sister Rise is a new book by Rebecca Campbell, author of Light is the New Black (Amazon Link).
When this book arrived on my doorstep, at first, I thought it was a gift.
In reality, it was. Some research later and it turned out it's something I gifted myself that I totally forgot I gifted it until it arrived because I ordered it on a pre-order. My goodness, past me.
Back in July, turns out when I was doing all this research on sisterhood rising, I wrote a few posts on the topic, ordered a book in it, then totally forgot it ever happened.
But I am loving past me right now, because now it's here and Rise Sister Rise is great.
Rise Sister Rise is all about a rising spiritual sisterhood that's happening today.
It's an anthem, really.
A manifesto, a Bible, and in a way, a sort of Art of War manual for the new spiritual woman. It could be an oracle itself actually, because each teaching of the book, is placed in there on a single page as a nugget. If you're thinking of getting it, do.
The messages in this book have appeared right when they have been needed.
The remedy to what needs to be healed now made available when the time was right.
Synchronicity and Divine Timing at it's finest, Rebecca's book is now available for purchase on Amazon here.
Many of the concepts you may have heard myself or others discuss in brief, in prior articles on the blog, but Rebecca rounds all that wisdom right up, into in her new book.
And it's beautiful.
Okay, enough of me fangirling over this book. If you want to check out a list of other books I drool over, check out my Favorite's Page.
Which was just updated with these by the way, so let's take a look:
These are Healing Mists and they are pictured from a batch created by MaKenzie Flynn, whose website you can find here.
Makenzie Flynn's Healing Mists are actually just a fancy term for something called a Smudge Spray, which is a form of smokeless Smudging.
Smudging is something you do to clear energy, and it's an action typically performed with dried plant material that you light and turn.
A Smudge Spray takes all the nutritive and spiritual properties of the smudging plant and infuses them into a solution, then left to cure and then sprayed into the air, where a gentle water mist clears the space, rather than burning smoked plant.
They're great for anyone who enjoys traditional smoke smudging, but perhaps lives with someone who is (or they themselves are) allergic to smoke or prefers a more gentle way to work with the energy.
Good thing is . . . they're not less effective.
Smudging sprays work the same way traditional smoke and burn smudge sticks do, one is just a little more gentle. Both methods release the volatile chemicals of the plant matter into the atmosphere, which is what actually does the act that does the clearing, one just releases via smoke and the other via water vapor.
Since then, I've been trying out all the different varieties Makenzie Flynn's Healing Mists, working with them as a traditional Smudge Sprays, and also in experimentally trying to clear different forms of energy.
I'm happy to report work all ways around. Yay! Mission Complete.
See them all here.
If she happens to sell out of them online, which might be possible, do not worry.
Many other great crafters and healers create Smudge Sprays, too.
You can find a variety of smokeless smudging options at most any spiritual or metaphysical shop in your area.
Okay guys, that is all for now. Enjoy all these spiritual treats and have a happy fall.
