When I tell people I’m a medium, I often get a funny look and sometimes, people get scared. And sadly, I know why. There’s a big misconception that mediums conjure ‘Spirits’ and, if you’ve ever watched a television ghost show, you’d know that those Spirits are usually a demon or evil force. I once believed that, but I’ve since learned something: it just isn’t true.
It’s simply sensational for television. As much as you don’t want mediums conjuring dark stuff, mediums don’t want to bring those things into their lives either.
All the mediums I know desire to link with the Divine Spirit, the Source of Oneness, the Golden Ray, Angels and your Loved Ones in Heaven. While there are many different kinds of mediums, the desire to do connect with Divine Energy is a pretty common theme.
In fact, I have never conjured a demon, a lower spirit or linked with something gross. The thought of that feels slimy and unethical to me and I have no interest in this. Just considering the possibility of it gives me the shivers. I can’t even stand being in the same room as shows that have lines like, “ . . .and that’s when I learned it was something sinister. . . evil.”
My only goal is to link you with your Loved Ones in the garden of Eternal Light, Summerland and if you embrace western culture, Heaven. In each session, I aspire to connect with Spirits in the Divine realms and only those who would be for the greatest and highest good and healing of all those involved.
And, I love what I do. As such, I want to share with you why I believe it’s great. I’m not trying to make a justification for what I do for a living, rather, provide an explanation of all the reasons why I think my life is positively awesome and if you have the ability to sense, hear and see spirit, why your life is pretty neat as well.
Mediumship is embraced by famous people.
Jesus, Muhammad, Joan of Arc, Mary Todd and Abraham Lincoln (yup, seriously . . . look it up) have all been known to connect with Spirit. Albert Einstein has claimed to receive information from an unknown source in dreams. As has Nikola Tesla, a physicist. These are just to name a few people that practiced the beautiful art of linking with the Divine Light in any form. Check out the Book of Spirit Communication by Raymond Buckland for more.
Mediumship can be explained by natural laws that apply to the entire universe.
If you’ve ever taken a physics class, you are vaguely familiar with universal and natural laws of energy, thermodynamics and motion. The particle theory on matter, the laws of conservation of energy, energy transformation, thermodynamic system equilibrium, and the laws of motion all support the act of mediumship, and the existence of energy and matter in any other form than visible solid. What about sound, light, wave, particle, gas, liquid or a mix of those all changing form and interacting? All energy and matter, with the right system inputs and outputs and can shift form to become light, heat, sound, visible particle or wave.
These universal laws suggest, at the very least, that energy of the human goes somewhere when it leaves the body (it ain’t destroyed), can exist outside of a human container in a more freely flowing gaseous state, can change form to make appearances and form sound, and interact with other systems of energy and matter. Google it.
Mediumship can show that your Loved Ones live on eternally.
(and support religion’s claim to an Afterlife once and for all)
Looking for evidence that there’s a place you go after you get buried in the ground? After all physical evidence of you and your existence is long gone? This place has been discussed in all major religions that I’m aware of - you know, Heaven? Mediumship can provide support for the after life, by connecting with witnesses to the place called Heaven. In fact, there is an entire sect of Christianity that embraces mediumship as the proof that eternal life is possible.
Trying to solve a mystery? Couldn’t talking to witnesses of the crime help you figure it all out? Connecting with Spirit and receiving guidance from those in and of Heaven could help confirm the belief and fact of an Afterlife. Mediumship provides the opportunity to show there is at least *somewhere* our Spirits go after we die. Some sort of ‘after you are alive place’.
Mediumship helps people heal.
Practicing mediumship and connecting with Spirit can help provide closure to those who are suffering, grieving and desiring to connect with a loss of their Loved Ones. Mediumship exists worldwide and provides support to people who need it most - those grieving the loss of the Loved Ones - in some cases, the most important person in their life.
Re-connecting with a loved one in Spirit is in many cases the doorway to happiness and moving forward with life. It’s evidence that maybe love still exists. That we have support from those in the Afterlife.
Healing happens for mediums, too. Those with the ability and curse of seeing and sensing spirit often are searching for a way to find healing and acceptance within themselves. Many mediums, including myself and many clients, lived in complete fear of their lives and experiences. Seeing and sensing things that others don’t can really make someone feel like an outcast of society, and begin to consider something wrong with them.
To learn and share their abilities with people in a way that it helps others who need it, is often the gateway for mediums to find healing and happiness about who they are. As people like you and I, mediums are also desiring to find a way to live peacefully in the reality they’ve been given.
Sharing these abilities with others for the beautiful outcome of connection and healing is a gorgeous thing.
Who cares if we don’t understand how, why or even if it should work if people are finding closure, love and happiness? Is there a reason to take this away?
As a conduit for this connection, I get to be a part of this beautiful, miraculous experience. Thank you for giving me the opportunity!
