NuLeaf Naturals CBD Oil Review
My Honest Thoughts and Experience With This Brand
There are so many different brands of CBD tinctures out there and I've spent the past year researching my favorites. Today I want to share one of these brands with you.
With these new approvals happening in mainstream organization, it would appear the world is looking up for those who want to work with CBD to treat any number of conditions or for those looking to offer these formulas to their clients.
In addition, recent research published by the scientists of the University of Mississippi has found that CBD could be beneficial in treating the opioid crisis and in another paper published by Dr Thomas M. Clark at Indiana University, an analysis predicted an estimated 23,500 to 47,500 deaths prevented annually if medical marijuana were legal nationwide.
Going back to what I mentioned in my previous article on this topic discussing soluble and oil-soluble forms of CBD, this is why I wanted to start talking more about this wonderful healing plant. Because it is my personal belief and now the research demonstrates, that many people we have known and loved, their lives could have been saved and could still be saved by potentially learning about or sharing CBD with someone who needs it.
CBD, the abbreviation for cannabidiol, research has shown it to have analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and anti-anxiety properties without the psychoactive effects that THC provides, so it is more commonly now being used in medicines.
For the past year or so, I've been testing different formulas of CBD to see what works, what's high quality and what will live up to my nerd standards.
And this search has lead me to find NuLeaf Naturals.
NuLeaf Naturals is a growing company out of Denver, Colorado, committed to providing the industry with the highest grade and most pure CBD formulas available and as someone with a background in botany, environmental science, and plant chemistry, I have to admit it was the nerd in me that drew me in via these ideals - I had to know more.
For number one, Cannabis sativa, like all hemp species, are known bio-accumulators, meaning they will accumulate heavy metals, toxins, and pollutants from the soils and the waters of the ecosystem, and put them into their plant bodies.
Just like the symbolic lotus, you have to be careful when it comes to choosing your source - where it's grown, how it's grown and what techniques they use to extract the oil, all matter when it comes to purity, effectiveness and reducing your own toxic load.
With NuLeaf Naturals, their formula is:
Made of 100% pure hemp oil, no additives
Sourced from all organic licensed farms in their local area (Denver, CO)
Watered with pristine, Rocky Mountain water, which, for the water quality nerds out there - Colorado has some of the strictest water quality laws in the nation - so this is the best part, really
Passing all my preliminary nerd tests so far.
Pure formula, no additives, organic growing conditions, clean water source.
Next, extraction methods. They use the CO2 method, which is the current gold standard in hemp extraction, because it doesn't use solvents to extract the phytonutrients, which can degrade the samples bioactivity. However, they also take it one step further and they also use a low and high-temperature process which extracts a more complete range of the healing benefits of the plant.
Now, onto the taste and clarity test -
What does it taste like?
If you're paleo or doing ancestral nutrition, or you just love to try new things and you've ever used hemp oil to moisturize or add to your salads, basically, it tastes very similar to that - a little heavier than olive oil, but a little lighter than the hemp oil you use on your salads.
Meaning, it's very easy to take down.
I've also sampled this brand out to friends already who have also approved of both the taste and the effectiveness - especially for insomnia (that's what people were telling me they liked to use it for when I asked how they liked it or used the sample I gave them).
Overall, personally, I think it's a great formula made with good intentions and one I personally carry in my home and provide to others when needed. We use it for all types of things.
So are they a trustworthy brand? From my experience, yes.
Their customer service is also impeccable.
They've also been known to send out free bottles for positive reviews, get back to you within a day, and are very generous with research sharing. It's clear they are fellow excitable nerds, and I like that about the company - you could just feel the nerd enthusiasm emanating from the staff there, and I liked it. We have shared many a lengthy email trading ideas -
Do they have a quality formula? From my experience, also yes.
And honestly, I've really enjoyed everything about the NuLeaf Naturals experience and formula so far. I'm currently just ordered my third bottle.
Pictured is the 725mg/15mL bottle which runs about a month for supply and retails for $99.00.
