Symbolism Of Seeing Eyes In Meditation & Dreams

When I was in college, my favorite classes were the electives I took in art history, though, I went to school for natural resource conservation. 

Interpreting symbolism in paintings, sculptures, and artifacts were the lectures I never missed. 

It was in these classes that I learned just how much and how frequently, across cultures, humans used symbols and gestures to communicate rather than words. It amazed me, but I left it alone and went on with my career. 

Then about ten years later, I found myself in psychic classes, interpreting symbols given in your mind’s eye by Spirit. 

Much of the knowledge I learned in those early days of elective classes finally came into play, and now, symbolism interpretation is one of my leading roles on this website. 

Symbolic communication is the way all humans universally speak, and it’s our primary language that we all understand before verbal development. 

Our intuition often communicates messages to us using symbolism and metaphor. 

The images we receive in a dream, a meditation, and a vision can have deep meaning for this reason.

Symbols received in an intuitive state connects us to our inner wisdom. 

Likewise, these symbols can be used as shorthand by Spirit, such as your Guides and Angels, to relay layered messages to you.

Seeing Eyes Symbolism

If you see eyes in a meditation

When you see eyes in meditation, this is usually considered a sign your third eye is opening.

Your third eye is a common term used to describe your inner knowing and wisdom that you can access through symbolism, vision, and dreams. 

It is also called inner sight, or your ability to psychically see, called clairvoyance.

So when you see eyes in a visionary state, it can mean your psychic, inner sight is being tapped into or now opening for you to use.

1. The ability to see, vision.

2. Windows to the soul; one's own individuality.

3. May correspond to one's outlook in life.

4. An all-seeing eye = spiritual vision, intuition, or God.

These are some of the interpretations of what seeing eyes in your mind's eye could be trying to tell you. Seeing eyes could also symbolize you are seeing the truth, including the truth of what you see in other's souls or even a doorway opening to your own. 

When it is paired with another vision, it can change the interpretation. For example, eyes with a pyramid imply an awakened state, enlightenment. And if you see a human eye blinking at you, this typically represents human consciousness.

If you see eyes in a dream

There could also be a dual meaning at play.

Since with dreaming, you are unconscious when you see the symbol, the meaning can change. 

The symbolism of anything can change depending on if you are conscious vs. unconscious when you view it. Similar to the shift in meaning between upright and reversed positions of the Tarot cards. 

Dreams can sometimes include protection or caution messages, on top of what the symbol means when you see it consciously. 

Hence, seeing eyes in a dream can also mean that you need to pay better attention or to watch something going on in your life.

Eyes can symbolize someone who is currently being observed, viewed, or that Universal forces are recording your actions. Be careful to act in ways right to your heart. It could also symbolize:

• Your third eye is open. 

• You see the truth.

• Your connection to human consciousness is strong.

• It could be a message about your watchfulness.
