A few months ago, my significant other and I were looking at houses.
We're moving and we're doing a pretty thorough job of evaluating the energy of certain areas and specifically, certain places.
Our day started by viewing a pretty sweet Old Victorian right on the Delaware river.
It looked exactly like my childhood home, but updated, full of tons of beautiful windows and light and with enough space for both of us to have an office and for David to turn the sunroom into a greenhouse for his plants. He, I and the Realtor all agreed the home was warm, airy, light and had good feeling energy. After we left, I told my s/o that the only Spirits I saw in that home were 3 Angels - on the corners of the lot on the outside.
We proceed up the Delaware River to another, more expensive house, on a larger, forested lot, a house.
The Realtor warned us in advance that this house was "much darker" than the first.
She also said it was sitting vacant for quite a while.
On the ride, I told my partner about my concerns regarding a vacant house.
Once a house sits vacant for a while - often the Spirits of the area can move in and occupy it (Earthbounds like to have homes and will sometimes squat in the way you might image a human without a home to do).
After expressing my concerns, I let it go and told my partner I was prepared to welcome this home into my heart. Perhaps the 'darker' she meant was the low light it would have because it was on a forested lot, after all.
We arrived at the second home.
The house was a beautiful, sprawling rural forest home.
Huge deck, gigantic forested yard, deer and cute wild animals everywhere, fireplace, big bay windows.
It was perfect - but as we explored around . . . something didn't feel right.
And that's when the Realtor brought up the basement.
Before I even knew there was a basement, the house felt cold, vacant and lonely.
The Realtor informed us the basement was not only creepy on her terms, but gave her bad vibes - the shivers.
Still a curious boy at heart seeking a thrill, that's when my partner immediately opened the door raced down there before anyone had even figured out how to turn on the lights.
I followed him immediately to tell him to wait until we got the power on, but I didn’t need the lights to see what I saw as soon as my eyes turned the corner.
I froze. Standing there, I wanted to scream and run back up the stairs, but the Realtor didn’t know who I was or what I did, so my desire to be a professional home buyer took over instead. I gulped and simply said, “Wow, look at this.”
In the basement, I could clearly see 3 non-human Spirits scatter off. Shivers, a drop in my stomach ran through my whole body. While me and the Realtor stood back, my partner went through and turned on lights upon lights of rooms upon rooms - the basement could only best be described as a complete underworld of rooms and living space.
We all got upstairs as soon as possible, shivering and shaking off the feeling of the entities in that basement.
Leaving as soon as possible, we made sure to thank the Realtor who made sure to remind us that she warned us of the basement before we ever went down there - she did.
Why I think We Were Led to This House
Wondering why we were lead there, it dawned on me that until this time, my partner had only the intellectual knowledge of the difference between interacting with Light Spirits vs. Dark Spirits. He's had a love for the creepy-crawly for as long as I've known him, and it's never clicked with him why I don't like the feel of that sort of thing.
In an attempt to change his mind about being scared of ghosts, I'd talked to him about the differences for years and how not all Spirits are spooking ghosts - that there is a difference and some can feel good to be around and some feel real bad - and WHEN YOU KNOW, YOU KNOW.
The purpose of these visits were to observe the differences of Light and Dark Spirits directly.
And sometimes, to know the difference - you need the experience of the contrast - so you can really tell for sure one from the house.
Now my partner now knows what a truly creepy-haunted house really feels like.
After we left, we cleared our energy by rinsing ourselves in white light, then by asking for those Victorian Angels to protect us and most importantly, drinking orange sodas.
Have you ever happened upon a house like this?
If so, it isn't always a bad thing.
Sometimes, you need the different to be able to identify for sure when a house is haunted "in a good way" with Angels and in an unhealthy way with anything else.
THE TELL TALE SIGNS OF SPIRITS IN THE HOME
Houses can have a variety of Spirits in them - both new house and old ones.
You can have positive Spirits that make the space feel good and keep you protected - such as Angels, Guides or Loved One who are present. Even previous residents can help watch over the home.
A house with positive, loving Spirits will generally feel:
These types of Spirits can be Angels, Guides, Nature Spirits, Ancestors of the Land or deceased Loved Ones.
You can also have darker Spirits present who can create a variety issues in the home from messiness, to fighting, to feelings of sadness to simply general chaos.
A house with dark, non-living Spirits will generally feel:
These can be non human entities or human spirits who have not crossed.
Personally, I welcome the first bunch of Spirits into any home - they add love and a feeling of calm to the space.
I don’t welcome the second group.
