the master of accomplishments.
Before I got to where I am now, I made my mission piling up achievements like I was collecting awards.
Certifications, conferences, awards, grants, scholarships, job offers, public speaking events, degrees and scientific publications.
I stacked up resume marks like they were going out of style.
I worked hard. Around the clock, I raced quickly in everything I did like I was running out of time - all the time. Venti Iced Coffees were my best friend, staying at the office until after dinner was a regular thing, and on occasion, working on weekends was a higher priority to me than making friends.
Then one day, my arm started throbbing and I lost feeling in my hand. I began to feel dizzy and I was rushed to the doctor. I had a blood clot in my neck and I was given a recovery plan.
I needed to slow down.
During those two weeks in bed, I was finally forced to stop and take a deep breath.
I realized that with each new learning experience I encountered, I was not giving myself the breathing room to absorb the information and the energy of my newest stage of growth.
Before I really let myself soak in the learning, I got another idea and ran off to the next big thing.
With each new learning experience our awareness expands.
As our awareness expands, the number of ideas, opportunities and desires made available to us, also expands.
Once we have one experience, lesson or accomplishment under our belt, as a soul, we know more than we did before. Our knowledge has increased and the amount of information that we have now is much more abundant and available to us than it was before.
each expansion event, each new achievement, each new soul level unlocked -
we are given new ideas, we see new directions of possibility and new places for our life to go.
This continual flow of new ideas can make us feel the need to rush - but we don’t have to.
Each time things heighten and the energy rises, the energy keeps raising and keeps lifting.
There is no place to get to because when you get there, you are given a new idea or you realize a new possibility to go somewhere else and you never get there. . . because there is no there.
No matter which destination, accomplishment or achievement you reach, there will always be another one right after that.
You keep expanding.
Your Soul is Continually Opening Doorways
Imagine you are walking towards a closed door and when you get there, you open it.
Now that this door is open, you can see a whole new landscape that you were unable to see before. This new landscape has even more doors than the landscape before.
When you get to the next door, you open it to discover more landscape, with more possibilities.
The doors do not end, unless you stop walking - which won’t happen - because you are a soul that continues to evolve even after death in other lifetimes.
The possibilities you are given keep unfolding as you walk and evolve.
On a truly endless journey of ever unfolding new landscapes, why not slow down?
Your Journey Is Not an Emergency
The door in front of you will continue to be the next door you go through, no matter which pace you take.
If you choose to run, you more easily exhaust yourself.
While you may arrive faster, when you arrive, in a state where you are unable to appreciate or fully learn from the new landscape that you’ve just stepped into.
Your goal as a soul is to learn and soak in as much knowledge as possible.
Always running through the landscape, you are not giving yourself the time or the appropriate attention to absorb learning that comes from observation.
Give yourself time to walk and breath it in.
There is no final place to go as even when you get to the perceived there, you’ll find yourself awakening to an even newer and more expansive place to set your sails.
So slow down, enjoy it.
Don’t hospitalize yourself.
