When I was first starting my business, one of the #1 pieces of advice I got was that I needed to get myself ‘found.’
Best Psychic Directory is one of the most comprehensives and reputable websites out there for psychic listings. Getting a listing on a Psychic Directory where potential clients can search you is one of the many suggested methods of advertising yourself and your services.
Bob Olson is the founder and owner of BestPsychicDirectory.com and he does not claim to be a psychic nor a medium. He’s a guy who suffered a loss and sought out to find understanding about the Spirit World. In the story he tells, his efforts to understand life after death and what that meant, drew him to get a mediumship reading. Then he got another one. Then another. And then another. As part of that process, he’s encompassed a pretty good understanding of what it means to be a ‘good’ psychic medium and what it means to be a ‘bad one.’
He now works to certify psychics and mediums as authentic.
Getting Listed On BestPsychicDirectory.com
As a practicing psychic or medium, you can easily get a listing on BestPsychicDirectory.com.
Through this listing, the idea is that potential clients can find you and your services more easily.
You simply submit your name, your website, your rates and create a small profile and Bob and his team will approve this profile.
At the time I signed up, the approval process was claimed to take 6-8 weeks, but in reality, it took me one (1) year to receive my approval email and for my profile to go live (but you can pay a fee to expedite the process).
In that time you are getting verified as a real practitioner, to do so, you have to place a “Best Psychic Directory” code piece somewhere on your website that they provide you, and this code links back to their site. In essence, the deal is - if you backlink to them, they . . . . eventually . . .backlink to you. A link for a link. A referral for a referral.
is the listing worth it?
Once approved, I did some metric analysis. In a single month from last year, my website totaled approximately a half-million page views (500,000 visitors).
60,000 of those visitors found me through Google.com (by searching keywords that lead to articles).
41,000 of those visitors found me through Facebook.com (also, by shared articles)
27,000 of those visitors directly visited my site on their own accord.
900 of those visitors found me on Pinterest.com (also, from article links)
And finally, a total of 12 visitors found my site through a backlink from BestPsychicDirectory.com.
Now, if your website views are less than what I have here - those 12 visitors do add up.
At least 1 of those 12 visitors has contacted me for a private session as a result of my listing there. And, there are ways you can increase your profile’s effectiveness if you do choose to be listed on BestPsychicDirectory.com - you can pay for advertising.
Based on these metrics, getting listed on a directory is not as effective as getting the word out about who you are and what services you offer through content creation. When you write and share articles from your site, create and share podcasts and utilize social media to backlink to your site, you can gather quite a few visitors without a directory listing.
Content that you create on your site and on other sites can bring potential clients to your site, too - and given the metrics above - quite a lot of people can find you through the material that you put out there, even if you never do decide to get listed.
But, in the end every little bit helps.
