When I was in college, I could never sleep.
For a period of 6 years, I got a total of 2-3 hours of half sleep every single night.
I told myself it was my pillow, the fact that I can’t have someone touching me while I sleep because it was ‘too hot,’ because there was too much light from a nearby street lamp coming in through the window, I complained that my roommates and neighbors were too noisy - and they were at fault.
Of course, I didn’t blame it on the fact that I would frequently wake up with a presence standing at the foot of my bed. Or that I’d be suddenly awoken at night with the sound of a loud crash, only to find an otherwise secured wall painting, dropped to the floor.
But I did go to sleeping therapists and I have taken all of the over the counter and prescription sleeping pills available to varying levels of success and sleeping pill hangover.
I had a verified insomnia problem and it had nothing to do with a chemical imbalance, too much stress or not enough melatonin production in the brain.
Insomnia and the Spirit World
My insomnia problem had nothing to do with physical world problems or physical body issues - it had all to do with Spiritual world issues.
Spirits prefer to visit you at night because that’s when you are alone and your attention is most easily caught. At night, most people other people are asleep and you generally can’t distract yourself with conversation or television, because you probably want to be polite and not wake up the entire household. Spirits - if they want to get your attention - will do so in any way and manner that they know how - especially if they have an important.
Many insomniacs are actually kept awake by their unseen visitors. They create an uncomfortable presence, noise in the house and can often be seen or felt in a darkened room
If you are waking up at night and you’ve tried everything - from meditations, to turning off the television at least an hour before bed, to not working in your bed, to medications - it’s likely your sleep problem has nothing to do with physical distractions and the solution has yet to be addressed.
If you have insomnia, consider that you actually have a spiritual ability that is not being dealt with and because it’s not being dealt with - your Spirit visitors are hassling you to do so.
You have the ability to see, hear or sense those in Spirit. The Spirit world wants you to accept these gifts, so they can work with you to create a better life - for yourself and those around you.
When you accept your abilities, they will let you sleep again.
AS SOON as I accepted my abilities and told the Spirit world I would finally listen to what they had to say and I set boundaries on how I would interact with them, I could finally sleep.
With someone listening to TV in the other room.
With light shining in through the window.
With or without a pillow over my head.
I could sleep.
And you can, too.
If you’ve tried everything else, and nothing has worked - consider the cause is Spirits.
They probably won’t stop until you address whatever it is they want.
In most cases, what they want is for you to accept, acknowledge and welcome in your gifts.
