The Two Different Types of Soulmates: The Opposite and The Mirror
There are at least two different types of soulmates out there.
There is an Opposite Soulmate and there is the Mirror Soulmate.
These two soulmate types can exist in you life as romantic partners, friendship partners and occur within either gender. Each person has one of each, if not more of each type of soulmate.
The Opposite Soulmate is the polar reverse to you.
- The yin to your yang
- The masculine to your feminine
- The water to your earth
- The fire to your air
- The logical to your intuitive
- The rational to your spontaneity
This person is generally called your ‘true’ soul mate, or your twin flame.
This relationship can make for a rather explosive connection at first, until both polar flames, learn how to dance, communicate and connect cohesively with each other. They are the (+) to your (-), and this is the reason for such a magnetic draw. This is the soulmate that people talk about when they say that another person ‘completes them’ and balances them out.
An opposite soulmate relationship can be difficult, as either person, generally has a completely different outlook on life, upbringing and way of doing things. To be successful, each party must learn to appreciate, honor and respect their respective partner’s perspective as unique and valuable.
The Mirror Soulmate is you . . . in another body.
- Their strengths are your strengths
- Their weakness are your weaknesses
- Their flaws are your flaws
They are the exact reflection of you, except in another body that is not your own.
For this reason, the Mirror Soulmate is the person who ‘gets’ you, understands you without you having to explain yourself and knows exactly where you are coming from. When with a mirror soulmate, it may feel like they can speak to you without words or like they are the first person who has ever truly listened to you. The challenge in the mirror relationship comes when your respective flaws are illuminated. What irritates you most about this soulmate, may be the exact things you need to work on and develop, too. Their flaws, illuminate your flaws - because they are the same.
In this way, having a mirror soulmate in your life can help you expedite your own soul's group, as what you need to work on, will continually be presented to you, through them. Likewise, your strengths will also be highlighted and reflected back to you.

Looking for a new soulmate?
Identify which one of these ‘equals’ you would most like to have in your life. Do you want you, in another body? Or do you want someone who is more developed in the areas where you are less developed, someone to complete you?
When you better articulate what you want, you will make it far easier for your Spirit Team to assist you in sending this ideal person your direction.
