During times of stress, when you most need to access your intuitive guidance, it can be very difficult to get it.
With emotions, mental exhaustion, and sometimes downright just physical exhaustion getting in the way, it can be extremely difficult to receive the clear, accurate cues from your intuition or from Spirit.
Many intuitives find it hard to “read themselves.”
If you want something bad enough, need something bad enough, or feel something strong enough - your own desires, thoughts and emotions can get in the way of your ability to clearly channel anything. If you’ve ever tried to “get guidance” for yourself during a break-up, a job falling apart, or a financial disaster, you know exactly what I’m talking about here.
You haven’t lost your intuitive abilities forever, but they’ve temporarily become unavailable.
How can you get them back?
1. Calm down
First, calm down. If you feel like you need a break, you need one. It’s not a luxury to take a timeout - it’s an emergency. Overwhelmed, overrun, over exhausted and over worked, you need to step back and go for a walk. Or sit down and drink a cappuccino. Or take a breather and give your dog a good brushing. Or your nails a good painting. Take a timeout, calm down and breath it out.
One of the first things required to receive accurate intuitive guidance is focus. To get focus, you need space and clarity from the situation. You need to step back and out.
Take a time out.
2. Clear your energy
Now that you’ve separated yourself from the stress and worry producing scenario - if even for just an hour or a couple of days - it’s time to clear your energy. You can do this in a variety of ways, but I recommend taking a bath with salts which can attract and pull away low energy from your body. Don’t have a tub? Take a shower while using a salt scrub. This is called a psychic bath and it’s a way to pull away clouding emotions, thoughts and energy from your aura so you have a greater ability to think clearly and tune in.
3. Double check
Tune in for guidance using oracle cards.
Even if you normally receive information without any divination tools, when you feel stressed and are unsure of your own internal clarity, it’s a great alternative to have a way to receive clear guidance that is outside of yourself in the physical world.
With oracle cards, or even a pendulum, you can separate yourself from the message because the message IS coming in as separate from yourself. When you are intricately tied into and tangled with the issue at hand, bringing the words of your intuition or of Spirit outside of yourself is a key to clarity.
4. Reach out
Sometimes, even a master intuitive needs to ask for help. Sometimes, even the counselor needs to be counselled. In times of emotional, physical or mental stress, if you can’t get your own clarity, reach out to another intuitive for a reading or a coaching session.
Not only will you receive clear guidance, but you’ll likely receive it from an alternate external perspective. Having other perspectives when trying to understand and navigate a situation is always helpful in deciding clearly what to do, or not do, next.
And finally, you don’t have to have it all figured out.
Even though intuitive and spiritual guidance can be helpful, always reaching into the psychic realms to understand the physical experience you are experiencing can prevent you from fully immersing yourself in learning lesson at hand.
Sometimes, the best thing you can do to to solve something is to fully connect with this experience to learn and grow from it. And then, once things settle down, once the experience is complete, you can then tune-in for guidance on why it all happened and the meaning of it.
So, if you are temporarily out of wind to carry the sails of your intuitive ship, just take some time to experience the ocean.
Soon, the wind will pick up and you’ll be off and moving again once more.
