How To Deal With a Bothersome Spirit
If you find yourself in the presence of a Spirit who is bothering you for any reason, you can put your foot down. You can stand up to a bully.
1. Calm Down
When someone is causing upset, fear, irritation or annoyance in your life, it’s easy to get upset, worked up and in some cases, frantic. The more upset you become, the more your adrenaline starts flowing, the more energy your body is using and producing.
But when to comes to dealing with a Spirit manifesting in your space, they need all the energy they can get. In fact, once in Spirit, nuisance Spirits no longer have their own energy to use - it’s hard to gain energy. And to operate, just like you and I, they need to obtain it.
As you get more and more worked up in the moment, this is more and more energy that a Spirit can use to continue to be in your space and continue to do what they’re doing. Basically, additional energy expended in the environment is fuel for a Spirit.
Don’t feed the Spirit. Don’t give it ammunition to use.
Cool as a cucumber, you are. The more you can stay cool, relaxed and avoid getting worked up - the less energy a Nuisance Spirit has to poke at you. Also, the less fun it is. If it’s not getting a rise out of you, chances are, they’ll just move on. Just like a bully.
2. Stand Your Ground
No one can pick on your, harass you or abuse you when you don’t allow it to continue. You have to stand your ground, you have to say no, and refuse to take any more of it. You can fight back, set boundaries, let them know what you will and won’t tolerate, or refuse to react or interact in their bullying scenario.
Stop caring about the bully. Ignore them. Walk away when you can. The more you can stand up for yourself - without losing your cool (see #1) - the more likely they’ll realize you aren’t someone worth messing with. Yes, even if this person is a Spirit person.
Remember to stay strong, unmoving - continue to stand your ground - no matter what tests or tricks they may throw at you next. Your boundaries will be tested, to see if you really mean them.
3. Remind Them of Their Options
Imagine being the person who negotiates someone off a ledge.
In all the movies, the negotiators always remind them of their options and of where the love is. They remind them of the hero they could be or the nice, friendly person they can still be in their lives. They remind them of the people who love and care for them and want to see them safe. They tell them about all the ways in which they could, in this moment, still turn everything around and walk the higher road.
When dealing with anyone who is acting not in alignment in their highest good, such as an Earthbound Spirit, you can talk them off the ledge by simply reminding them of the type of person they could be. How easy it would be to be loving and patient instead. How much better a life as a Spirit it would be, if they were kind and generous to those still on earth. How much their mothers and fathers want to see them living out eternity peacefully.
If you are familiar with the process of crossing over a Spirit, into the Light, this is also an option that I suggest when working with those who can go into the Light - such as someone struggling with living in alignment to their highest good.
Nuisance Spirits are People.
People, now deceased, simply working out their issues and figuring out their own soul path. And as a person, you can treat them like one with compassion and love. But, remember, you can still stand up for yourself and the way you deserve to be treated, by others, with compassion and love.
