Discernment and the ability to discern one Spirit individual clearly from another Spirit individual clearly is one of the biggest challenges facing those who want to work safely within the Spirit World.
If you are unfamiliar with the Spirit World, there are two major genres of Spirits:
Light Spirits and Non-Light Spirits
You can also categorize them using these common, yet not necessarily politically correct terms:
Positive and Negative
Good and Evil
Benevolent and Malevolent
Angels and Demons
And generally, most mediums want to and seek to communicate with the first group - the positive, the good, the benevolent, the Angelic. In fact, I don’t know anyone who seeks to connect with the other. But, as a medium, how do you know who the good guys are? And more importantly,
Can evil Spirits trick you into believing they are good Spirits?
Can Demons trick you into believing they are Angels?
Is this a thing? Can this happen?
The basic answer is:
Yes, they can try to trick you.
But the more truthful complicated answer is:
It doesn’t have to work. You don’t have to be tricked. You can learn to discern between something or someone that is really *benevolent* versus someone who is malevolent - even if the latter half, tries to pretend they are the former.
- Spirit Example -
Imagine this scenario.
You live on a pastoral farm, inside a house on that property. On your pasture, there are sheep. Lots and lots of fluffy, harmless, sheep just baa-ing about and eating grass. Harmlessly.
They provide milk and cheese for your family and they also provide warmth from the wool off their own backs. These sheep help you. You can trade the sheep and the sheep products to get more sheep, other goods or financial abundance. Having sheep in your life, while you do have to feed them and interact with them, overall, is a benefit to you for many reasons.
Now image that from time to time, wolves come from out of the woods, to try to eat the sheep.
In fact, they wear sheep costumes, so that you don’t notice there are wolves in your fields. Sneaky in theory, isn’t it?
Can you notice a wolf, wearing a sheep outfit?
Well, if you never really spent any time around sheep - sure, you might, at first glance, be momentarily tricked or confused, for, ‘What is that odd looking sheep that is behaving funny doing out there?’, or, ‘Wait, there’s one more very large and misshapen sheep in my field, what is going on?’
At first, your eyes, your senses could trick you.
But, if you’ve been farming sheep for a while and working one-on-one with sheep for years - you can immediately sense something is off with that one wolf-sheep. You can tell something is going on.
For the avid sheep farmer - a wolf, even in a sheep outfit, can be easily spotted and the farmer will be on alert for anything strange coming from that one sheep.
But, if you have never spent a day in your life around a sheep, sure, you could be fooled. You could be tricked.
- End Example -
In this example, the key is:
Sheep = Light Spirits
Wolves = Dark Spirits
Wolves in Sheep Outfits = Dark Spirits trying to trick the medium
What is solution to not actually being tricked?
Spend more time around real sheep so that you have the comparative and cognitive tools necessary and needed to identify a fake sheep in your herd.
To be able to discern a positive Spirit from a negative one, you need to be able to tell apples from oranges clearly and accurately. To do this, you have to spend time around some apples first, so that when you are introduced to an orange wearing apple fragrance, you will definitely be able to know, THAT is not an apple.
So, what do you do?
Step 1. Learn about Light Spirits - Angels, Spirit Guides and Deceased Loved Ones who are Crossed Over.
Learn about how they behave, act and what they feel like when they are around. Learn their identification characteristics. Start doing that here.
Step 2. Start Hanging Out in your Pasture, more.
Begin to practice connecting with your Guides and Angels on a one on one basis. Call them in. Ask them for things. Start communicating with them, even if you just begin calling upon them and talking to them out loud.
Step 3. Put up Fences and “No Wolves Allowed” signage.
That is, set some boundaries. Learn what you need to do to keep wolves out of your pasture. With these techniques, you’ll be able to keep most opportunistic wolves out of your sheep field.
Step 4. If you Notice a Sheep that is ‘odd’, Remove It from your Field.
In most cases, to get rid of a sneaky wolf, all you have to do is go outside and yell at it to leave. Many times, all you have to do is confront the wolf right then and there as soon as you see it, and say, “Get out!”. Maybe more than once, but direct confrontation by the rancher is usually all that you need to do.
And that’s it!
By learning the behaviors of Light Spirits, you will soon be able to identify them easily out of a crowd and begin to tell, when something is NOT like the rest.
