While most psychics are very good at reading others and assisting others in manifesting the best outcomes for their future - it is nearly impossible to read yourself.
No matter how hard you try, something always gets in the way. Just as you are a human with wants, needs, and desires, as are every and all psychics that you will ever meet. While we often spew spiritual guidance and messages from the Light out of our mouths, providing this loving stream of consciousness and advice that we offer to others is only something we can dream of offering to ourselves.
It’s kind of like a curse. Imagine that whenever you have guests over, you can make the most fantastic meals with beautiful place settings, but once your guests leaves, you’ve completely forgotten how to set a table or can’t get the ingredients right to replicate the same meal just for yourself. Perhaps you only operate best in show time, when you are under pressure. Perhaps your gifts are different when working to give to others, rather than working to give to yourself.
Just as all things, each and every one of our gifts - no matter what it is - works best and is most effective when we offer it to other in service, love, and kindness. This much, is universal law.
There are several other reasons why psychics can’t read themselves and an explanation as to why they aren’t all millionaires. Here’s a short list of them.
1. Imagine the type of world that would be
Imagine if everyone who would see the truth of the present scenario in all elements of time and space, also had the power to see their own riches and how to obtain them. Would this person continue to serve others with the beauty of their abilities, or would they simply buy vacations and timeshares in tropical locations? Would they use their abilities to go crazy on drugs, or neglect those in their lives so they can live better? All persons, can be swayed by greed and lust for more and more wellness. Of course, we all know that more and more anything does not create wellness, and only creates imbalance - but with the prospect of fortunes, many people can fall victim to desire. We are only people. You and me. Also, those with psychic gifts.
If this type of world existed, a gift that has been given to a psychic would be used less to serve others and assist others on their path and journey of life, as it is intended, and rather, many psychics would do less ‘serving others’ and more, ‘serving themselves’. Psychics already struggle with reputation problems - imagine the reputation if they could see their own fortune?! Who would trust a psychic if just ONE could see their own riches? Who would trust anyone with their sights fixed on dollar signs? You couldn’t. Their motives would always be questioned and biased - and no - it does not matter how honest and loving a person is. We are all people. I could be given millions of dollars today and decide to buy my mom a house for once, pay off my student loans, and give the rest to friends, family, and charities I supported - my motives would still be questioned. Especially if I kept ‘miraculously’ running into millions.
No one can see their own future. Not even psychics. And furthermore, if you could, what kind of fun would that be? Would life have any surprises and learning experiences at all if you knew it all? Would you ever enter into a two-year relationship with the most fascinating woman you’d ever met only to know it would end in heartbreak? It would be a valuable lesson in love for you, but who could bear going on to know only pain would follow? I certainly couldn’t.
Those who are in charge of this would never stand for a world without beautiful lessons learned the truthful and often hard way. That's when you grow, that's how you learn to love.
2. We all have a blind spot
No matter if you are psychic or just a regular person, we have all been blinded by the truth of our own lives until someone slaps us upside the head with it.
Who here has not been involved in a toxic relationship, far longer than they should have been, only to have been told by an external source how disastrous their current situation was? Each and everyone of us needs an objective source to line up all the facts and figures for us. To show us things in a perspective other than our own. No one can see it all. This is why noble friends, soul mates, and talking exists. So we can share with each other that which we cannot see.
There is a blind spot in our retina, there is a blind spot in our third eye (the place of self-seeing), and there is a blind spot in our souls.
If each one of us were the entire world, how could we travel around it while standing within it? You couldn’t. We couldn’t. No one can.
While my job is to share the truth of love and compassion with others through the voice of Spirit, it is also your job to tell others the truth as you see it. People can’t see what you see in the way you see it. Perhaps your own withholding for the truth, ‘because they already know’, is preventing the growth of this person - no one can see themselves entirely! Truth telling is a possible reason why you are hearing someone complain, have to deal with a friend who works a job they hate, or have a brother who despises his wife for no good (or a perfectly good) reason. Someone needs to tell them its ridiculous. Consider that someone is you.
No one can see everything. Not even me. Friends, soul mates, and the beauty of the spoken word was created for one reason - to speak the truth to others where the truth may not already exist.
3. No one really asks you about that
Of course, I want to win the lottery. Of course, I don’t want to think about how my winter electric bill is getting paid. My partner routinely plays lottery and, oddly enough, until I started writing this article, I have never even thought once to consult him on the numbers. Furthermore, he’s dating a psychic - and he’s never asked. That alone is weird, is it not?
My partner, prefers not to consult me on ‘psychic matters’ unless it is of utmost importance, and I prefer not to consult on psychic matters unless I’ve be specifically asked. Thus, the lottery issue has never come up.
Oddly, I have never once been asked to predict lottery numbers. Actually, I have once. In a bar, by a 20-something bro from New York.
For as long as I’ve been practicing my abilities - in a session - no one has asked me this. You know what people ask me? It’s pretty common:
How can I be happy with my life?
What is the role of my soul on this earth?
How can I make more money doing what I love (not at winning it randomly!)?
When will I meet someone who finally loves me for me?
Yep. This is the short list. The long list is mostly variations on these questions.
As for the people that DO ask about finances or receive guidance on fiances - pretty much all of them want to earn their living honestly and through hard work and passion - doing something they love. Not rigging a game based on what a psychic told them once. Believe or not, people are honest. They don’t want to trick a game. They want to make a difference doing something they love, being supported by someone they love. And, that’s what I want for them, too.
4. The ego gets involved
No matter what it is that I am asking about, if I am asking the question for myself, by myself, my thoughts and ego desires run wild. If I am asking about what is the best way I can connect with my clients through teaching (a question I recently asked my sister, another psychic), I had a bunch of ideas of how I could do it, but I couldn’t listen to the guidance from Spirit with all my own wants, thoughts, and concepts floating around up there. I keep interrupting myself.
When I work with a client to provide them guidance, my wants and desires are not their wants and desires. Furthermore, we have usually just met each other. I have no idea what they want or the struggles they have been through. I haven’t developed a concept of what I want FOR them, as I might for myself or my best friend. I am able to fully and clearly deliver them an unbiased message - because we’ve never met. My ego doesn’t have a plan created for this person.
But, my ego has a plan created for myself. Filled with wants, desires, perceived needs, dreams, hopes and wishes. All of this prevents me from providing myself an answer - with the unbiased truth.
Even if I wanted to win the lottery, I might preemptively decide that it would be great if the winning numbers were all linked to my birthday or angelic repeating number series or something. With this thought, the clear guidance, should I receive it, could and would be corrupted by what I originally hoped and dreamed for - which usually is slightly different from the reality of things.
I hope this helps!
Disclaimer: There are some people who can predict games involving winning money. These people are usually quite skilled in probability sequences and other mathematical functions. I specialize in talking to Spirits. I’m pretty terrible at math.
